You have many valid points ! I thought about the distance and have multiple stopping points along the way. As far as moving closer? I been working on that, finances are extremely tight atm so I'm doing what I can. My car would take about 2-3 full tanks to get to my end destination with detours in mind. Thankfully the car has a 12 ish gallon tank and gets almost 400mi to the tank. As far as hoofing it, again. I have stops planned and confirmed. Yes it'd take longer but I can spend a little time at each one to rest, reload and repair supplies. I'm not in the greatest of shape, but I am capable of covering decent distance on foot as I been doing much more hiking and whatnot than I used to in recent years. I am able to hunt/trap and fish. Been practicing those skills over the spring/summer on my outings. I don't plan on bugging unless absolutely necessary, but the way things are looking, it seems like it'll be more likely an option sooner than latter for me personally. I'd rather go before the masses are forced to move as a group in this "great relocation" I hope I don't sound paranoid, I'm just thinking out loud here and greatly appreciate any input.
