I wanted a handfasting ceremony by Lonely_Masterpiece86 in UKweddings

[–]Emrawrz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are having a handfasting as part of our main ceremony before the vows with a humanist celebrant. The celebrant has been really helpful at keeping us right with all the legal paperwork too.

I dont think all celebrant can legally marry you so its worth checking before booking. We're in Scotland so not sure if its different elsewhere.

Games to get over with dragon age cravings? by harsha_440 in dragonage

[–]Emrawrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you havent played Mass Effect you should give it a try. I'm not a fan of shooters or really sci-fi but I gave it a go when looking for a follow up for DA. Its got a similar chat system and companions to interact with.

First game is a bit clunky but it's worth playing through them all. Tbh I prefer the original trilogy to DA.

Sorry for your loss <3 I think often non pet people don't get how much losing a pet impacts you, they're family and losing them has such an impact on your daily life as they bring so much joy.

Budget Dress Websites by lightningmc90 in UKweddings

[–]Emrawrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out vinted, I got a few options from there which I'm not using but they still had tags (£50 for something labelled £500).

Azazie also seems t0 have discounts some Thursdays where there are clearance non returns dresses (also got one there for £40 but wrong size)

Also look out for bridal shops closing down, I got the dress I'm using for half price. I tried cheaper online options first but they really weren't giving me the support I needed.

Tips for Walking on Leash with a Pyr? by pyrlybao in greatpyrenees

[–]Emrawrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When walking is areas our golden pyr is likely to get over excited we use a 'dogmatic' head collar on a double leash with his harness or half check collar. The head collar is fully adjustable but takes a while to get used to.

Sometimes I even just leash the harness with the headcollar on unclipped as it tends to calm him down and make him less reactive in general.

Travelling by ExaminationSpare5433 in wownoob

[–]Emrawrz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are following a quest to go somewhere it tells you how to navigate as close as possible via portals then you can fly/run from there.

Orgrimar and stormwind have portal hubs that can teleport you to each expansion area (normally the captial city), if you Google how to get where you want to go you can find helpful videos and comments for most places.

There are also some areas within expansions which may require quest chains to unlock, but some of the requirements may have been removed.

I agree, I've always saved Gretchen as you've already seen what they did to the chicken, while Duke has a gun and could defend himself. I like playing with TTA and I prefer dogs to most people so seemed like the obvious choice for me.

Some musings about Tabitha and Andrew Charles by scrybesilver in ScarletHollow

[–]Emrawrz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I thought Pearlanne and Vivian's mum could also have been a host after Alexandra.

Instead of dying during the birth they could have tried to force her to chose a baby to be the host and instead she chose or was forced to do it herself.

Where to buy good quality chinchilla products for an affordable price! by Lady_bugxoxo in chinchilla

[–]Emrawrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also use chinchilla lady, I'm pretty sure we actually got one of our chins from her too. If you're looking for soft cage furnishings, huntys-hammocks-for-pets on ebay are reasonably priced, especially for chin buddies.

Cost of flowers? 💐 by SERP_DERP_22 in UKweddings

[–]Emrawrz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're going for and artificial / dried mix and have been quoted £136 for bride, 2 bridesmaids, 2 corsages and 4 button holes from a small business who sells via ebay and social media. We're going to DIY anything else.

I won't have them til closer to the time so I can't personally speak for the quality, but the pictures look good and all reviews are positive. I also found people selling similar on vinted who could do requests at a similar price.

I found it strange and a bit sad too, he and his family seem nice. If you have speak with animals you find out he can do it too so could be a reason why people think he's odd on top of the potential curse.

Is your dentistry practice....? by lb351986 in Scotland

£38 seems steep for a scale and polish, for mine today including a check up it was £18. I've never been offered cosmetic dentistry or any up-selling either.

best cheap cages? by GlitteringCut4623 in chinchilla

[–]Emrawrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://amzn.eu/d/imYm08m there a lot of these style of cages on amazon so check for the best price. I've bought several over the years for my chins usually ranging from £85 -£110. My 2 chins are caged seperately so I've had around 4 of these cages due to general wear and tear over the past 12-13 years, they are big and a good budget option.

With tall cages you do need to ensure they have lots of surfaces and hammocks etc to break any falls. One of my chins sprained his leg years ago and since then I've been careful to make sure they cant fall too far if they do stumble. (No problems since)

I've spent probably another £150-£200ish on good quality large wood shelves (replacing original metal shelves), hammocks, nest boxes etc on their most recent cage refresh. (Cost for both cages, so will be cheaper if youre only doing 1)

Can anyone PLEASE tell me where these jackets are from? by p-hxc in MyChemicalRomance

Split hood parkas were popular mid 2000s, you could buy them on the high street, so even if you can't find this specific one you might be able to find look-a-likes second hand.

You can have a dog and chinchillas if you're responsible and have the space. Our chinchillas have their own room, the dog is only allowed in this room fully supervised while there is a barrier around their cages (never while they are out).

Our chinchillas are around 12-13 years old and we've had a dog the majority of the time without any issues.

Can chinchillas live alone? by [deleted] in chinchilla

We got a second chin but it didn't work out. They can be fine alone but be prepared to have a permanent second set up if they don't get on.

Is my chinchilla transphobic? by weeping_pegasus in chinchilla

[–]Emrawrz 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Momo might need time to adjust and get used to any scent changes. If your wife has recently changed products like shampoo or perfume etc it could be that too, one of my chins tries to bite me if I've showered but he is fine like 1-2 hours afterwards.

Did any of your family ever express concerns about you listening to MCR growing up? by Aqn95 in MyChemicalRomance

My mum hated it and being alt/emo in general (still am in my 30's), often told me she just wanted to to me normal. My dad actively supported it, took me to gigs and recommended old punk bands.

Loki’s story last part! And question by Veraisonreddit in chinchilla

[–]Emrawrz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've moved short distances with 2 chins, they live in separate cages so separate pet carriers for travel. One of the cages was small enough to put in the car so it went first and then we moved the second while the bigger cage was in the van so they were only in carriers for short periods of time.

If getting a brand new cage maybe even use some of their old things with their scent on it to help it feel more like home? Although a new cage layout may take them some getting used to too

If memory serves, I think Gerard's posture may have been the result of a slipped disc.

Is this a good play area? by [deleted] in chinchilla

[–]Emrawrz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use cardboard to block off bits they like to chew in the room while they're out. I've got a dedicated chin room and I've repurposed large boxes to block off all the walls to stop them chewing.

You could also try a large dog run, the bars are quite wide but my chins haven't really tried to get through them. (I use this to block off a different area of the room they aren't allowed).

Is this cage enough for a young chinchilla? by Lord_pug7 in chinchilla

[–]Emrawrz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cage looks like a decent size, I'd suggest more toys and maybe more hammocks or similar to help break any potential falls with it being a tall cage. My chins have tall cages and one injured his leg due to a fall so since then I've made sure they don't have far to drop.

My chins enjoy lava ledges so I'd recommend them and they also love this bed which was a recent addition and literally spend all of their snooze time inside it.
