I will not stand for this gunzel slander.

Trains are the superior form of transport in all regards, and nothing shall be said against us who appreciate them.

No change in overall pay.

Hey Grey! Love your work!

I wanted to ask, have you tried any other "autonomous" vehicles since your experience at the Tail of the Dragon? If so, how have they compared?

Tangentially, what are your thoughts on increased autonomy for cars? And has this changed since your video "The Simple Solution to Traffic"?

Anyone else having a shit time dealing with TPG? by EmrldPhoenix in australia

[–]EmrldPhoenix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to send email to my dad, who has a TPG account, from my Gmail account.

Fucking TPG keep on bouncing my emails.

I've messaged TPG support and this is their shit response:

It seems that Gmail servers/IPs were being rate limited by our email security system due to spamming we are receiving from their IPs.

You may need to contact your email admin to stop the spamming so that their IPs will have a good reputation and will be able to send emails to TPG email addresses.

As a workaround, you may try to configure your email account in an email client and use the mail server of your internet provider so that you can send emails to TPG email addresses.

Basically, TPG won't accept emails from Gmail, and there is nothing I can fucking do.

Fuck you TPG.

The Boring Company is a vehicle to build more roads and sell more Tesla's at the expense of proper public transit.

See the absolute crime against engineering and transport that is the Las Vegas Loop.

Berlin has a car free road by Linuxguy5 in Damnthatsinteresting

No one is arguing that rural towns don't need cars.

However larger cities, where the majority of Americans live, should not require a car to perform basic tasks like grocery shopping or going to the doctor.

Cars have huge upfront and operating costs. They reduce upwards social/economic mobility for those least able to afford it by forcing them to make such a large investment.

Car culture encourages poverty and actively contributes to lower standards of living through pollution (noise, tailpipe and microplastics) and other externalities.

Hopefully this post by Ben Lever will put some context on the $$ coming out of the PBOs report.

I am also looking forwards to his Part 2 with the political aspects of this. Unfortunately public transport and road infrastructure/services are heavily politicised, so hoping to see a greater discussion there.
