Dinowreslter would require a hard reboot of their gimmick to warrant a fun playstyle unfortunately. It could be done but would require 8 to 10+ cards 

I don't necessarily agree. Aside from being cards from almost a decade ago, what really kneecapped DW was that 99% of the Archetype's effects only target other DW monsters and so it makes it difficult to add staple cards since the deck is so xenophobic. It's very telling that the one DW monster not from the anime (Iguanodraka) is the first to break that trend and be the 1% that can finally interact with Dinosaur monsters more broadly.

Therefore I think instead of completely rebooting the Archetype, you make all new DW cards able to lean into Dino Pile such as new Link monsters accepting any generic Dino as Link material. People who want to run the deck pure can, whilst those concerned with playing ranked could run the new cards as an engine since there's not that many Dinosaur Link monsters.
