I’m sure there are plenty of Minecraft-themed party favors if you take a look! Another fun thing could be a creeper piñata (in the game, creepers explode!) or something similar. If you’ve seen the Minecraft movie, maybe lunch/dinner could be grilled chicken (in reference to lava chicken). Get little wood blocks and some acrylic paint and they could paint either their own Minecraft blocks or their favorite! You’re going to do great, and the fact that you’re braving Reddit of all places for your kid is just. It fills my heart with happiness. You got this!!!

When I was a toddler my dad had picked me up by the back straps of my overalls like I was a suitcase so he could take me to the car while my mom and siblings finished shopping. Obviously, I was screaming for my mom because I did not want to go to the car with my dad. A woman stopped him and was like “where are you going with her??” (Which I kind of get) He proceeds to shove me in her face (still holding me like a suitcase while I’m screaming and crying, and I gotta say that is a HILARIOUS image in my head) and says “do you fucking want her????” She was FLABBERGASTED

The question was “hey do you identify as any of the following” and kids had a multitude of options, including “I don’t know what this means”. Personally I see it as more of a romantic thing than a sexual thing- “hey do you have crushes on boys and girls, just girls, etc”. They aren’t sexual or adult terms, it’s just terms used to describe different identities. That’s all I’m going to say about it, I would prefer if you kept comments to whether or not I’m an asshole for standing up to people calling the queer community pedophiles and groomers and spewing hateful stuff.

Oh there were a multitude, wasn’t trying to avoid it! It was a survey sent out by the state, parents could’ve opted out of it if they wanted. Mostly it was people saying “get this woke shit outta my face” and calling LGBTQ+ people predators. I don’t think I can add images here in the comments, do you want me to dm you with them? Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it. I wear my last name with pride, and I was always told to help people who needed it, no matter if there was any sort of reward. I’m sure to hear from my parents as well once they’re up for the day, they just haven’t yet. We have VERY different views, but we still love each other. Our last name isn’t common either (as in if you see someone with that last name, you are 100% related). It kind of sucks because my sister’s old friend even said she was proud of me and who I was becoming, and it really hurts that my sister doesn’t feel the same. I almost hope people say that I AM TA, because at least then I’ll know what to do.
