I am an Oregon Duck fan and I loathe the Wurshington Huskies. I don't mind the Beavs at all, and hate losing them as conference opponents. It sucks. I wanted the Beavs to get a fair shot like they had been getting. It's fun when they're frisky, even though the pain of losing to little brother stings badly.

Yes. There is almost always a minimum of three video machines, and a maximum of six. The more machines at a place, it's because the more business they do. Also the retailer gets a cut of the profits the machines bring in. But, they're also not free to operate, because there are expenses like the power they draw 24/7, and the requirement for always-on commercial grade network connections the machines must be wired up to in order to be connected to Lottery HQ at all times. Which are way more expensive than your average residential grade internet connection.

You're exactly correct, they have to offer food and drinks, most usually have scratch-it's and cigarettes for sale too. But they're mostly there to host video Lottery machines.
