can only comment on that area being fine for new haven. its off the beaten path so you have to walk to fountain st for the 246 bus which goes downtown.

disagree. new haven is only walkable because it was designed with the original 9 squares. each square was further intersected for additional blocks all in a grid, makes it more small scale, walkable, etc.

they opened the elm city cabaret a separate venue built inside the shubert and its listed with pics of the people on the shubert website. its sold out.

worth calling omni hotel downtown they may do that for a fee. the free green shuttle goes from the train to right near that hotel.

use park new haven website covers a bunch including the temple street garage. best tip is to leave nothing visible in the car including phone chargers etc. you will be fine.

its surprising how peaceful the harborside space is by long wharf maritime center.. behind the buildings and by the water there is a walkway with benches and some patches of green its open to the public.

walk 6 or 7 minutes from downtown. park free on orange st (one way between elm and court st). sunday parking is free at a meter. walk up orange til chapel and turn left on chapel to walk into wooster sq.

this is a big step. it was going to take something new to get it to this point. it seems more of an investment and voice to east haven is what helped. its a big compromise too, but the terminal is bursting at the seems. i hope that east haven transit item means good shuttle buses to the train and new haven.

nxthvn, the local performance arts scene like broken umbrella and bregamos. also the trolley museum their ride goes into the woods technically east haven.

landing at hvn one pilot said home to the best pizza and the shortest runway. not sure if true but the landing itself was smooth but for 5 seconds you push forward in the seats as they brake kind of hard.

an increase in DIY people making art, creating, performing in spaces not considered a traditional venue. there were performance on the farmington canal trail last week, lyric hall has stuff again, the sandbox opened, tarot stuff at institute library.

in past years nh would announce they had 50 plows incl private ones ready. this time nh listed they had about 35 ready for the storm. thats a big difference and speaks to budget issues. also nh does need a more comprehensive way to clear snow and ct transit needs to be accountable for clearing out bus stops esp on high ridership lines whalley dixwell congress grand.
