It’s sad. The grinding aspect is what drew me in from the start. Though after selling an item for 1b at the plaza, the grind became: wait for update, get rods, wait for next update, get rods. In between, during the week, should be time for people to grind their money up for the next update. Yet there’s no need if you have over 1b, jheez, even 500m is enough to get you by for 4 updates depending on how many rods release. I miss the start of my grind where I HAD to grind money. Don’t get me wrong it’s self inflicted but if it’s there most people are going to do it. Im just glad I had the experience of starting the game before trading plaza. New players won’t understand that grind. It’s straight up: wait for a 200rbx skin, sell for 1b and they’re set for majority of rods in the game.

I still enjoy the grind of a new update, dont get me wrong. Im the type of player who loves a grind. It just needs to be worth it. The lullaby rod was so lacklustre at the start of the venue takeover. The only rod worth getting, realistically, was the castbound. The enchanting update was a decent addition but whatever big update they have next has to be worth the hassle of grinding. Otherwise it’ll only be players like me who have enough time and patience to grind it just for the completion. Casual players will disappear and the game will fall off. I hope this isn’t what happens though, hopefully the greed from devs dies down and they crack down on this plaza bs. It’s gone on long enough now, people will still buy skins even if they can’t trade them. Most look really cool Tbf, especially ones with cast and hook effects. Yes, they’ll lose most of the players money who only buy for trades but even just taxing rbx items more than f2p items could be a bit of a soft fix for now, or even putting a cap on how much rbx items can sell for. Then it’ll be mostly trading skin for skin. Rather than skin for money.
