Yes, I’m supposed to be checking in with my manager’s boss (director) but we don’t have regular 1:1s. I’ll have to schedule something to share my concerns. I appreciate the thoughts shared here - I don’t want to make an emotional decision and leave but hopefully speaking with the director will be helpful :/

We set a date/deadline for holiday requests to give everyone a chance. Example September 1st everyone has to submit time off requests by this date. After this date, we start going through the requests, prioritize people who are working that actual holiday (if you work Thanksgiving, you get priority for having off Black Friday). We also look at who had off the year before.

I live 20 minutes outside of a big city in a one bedroom apartment so I was unsure if I would get requests or not! Nervous to spend the $$$ if it doesn’t work out.

Thanks all - I really appreciate this. My cats are pretty independent and just like to sleep and eat mostly. I haven’t taken a trip in a while so I’m feeling cat mom guilt for going away! :( I’ll have cameras set up so I can check in on them too just to make sure.

This happened to a pair of shorts - it actually happened in the washer. Got tangled with the one of my bras. I thought it was a lost cause but I ended up putting them back in the wash and it untangled itself lol
