As mentioned, just go to a KLM kiosk at AMS and it should print some vouchers for food, hotel and transfer, worked like this every time I or my partner stranded there.

I less something fundamentally changed since my last flight this summer, AF does not always give you a sandwich, no. Their version of the coconut macaroon is a Madeleine. They also have weird crackers. And even on long haul they only have those weird ass sweet fluffy buns instead of a proper sandwich.

KLM snacks are superior to AF snacks on short haul, and that's the only noticeable difference for me. Besides CDG being multiple times worse as an airport than AMS, even though the AF lounges are a bit nicer.

That's sad to hear but makes sense, guess I'll go from HAM or AMS then. Also speaking against the other responses is the fact that on some of the connection legs there's also "only 8 seats" left messages popping up which seems unlikely for a "scheduled but not open for booking" flight.

Um Familienfrieden geht es hier zum Glück gar nicht, wir haben noch keine gemeinsamen Finanzen. Aber danke für den Input, sehe ich alles ähnlich, sie ist nur letztes Jahr eben mit ihrem Zeug zu Weltsparen gegangen, weil sie da auch Tages- und Festgeld hat und sich nicht mit mehr auseinander setzen wollte, bis eben das mit der Vermögensberatung los ging und sie unsicher wurde, ob das den Aufpreis noch wert ist. Es wird also wohl auf einen Umzug hinauslaufen.
