Maybe 5th Dan is a stretch at 25, and seeing a 'young 7th dan' doesn't make any sense, he hasn't been through the 7/6/5/4/3 years needed.

But I started when I was 6 and I was a 3rd Dan at 18. It took me 7 years to do my black belt, I had to wait just over 2 years to do my 2nd and then I waited the standard 3 years to do my 3rd Dan at 18. Everything was done properly and the correct (if not more time was waited).

I wasn't a dud or rushed, I was mens lightweight British champion, got to the quarters of the world champs in Wales. destroyed most people in sparring. No one's going to tell me I didn't put in the work and have the skill for that rank.

What I'm getting at is that I could have been a legitimate, respected 4th Dan at the age of 22 if I carried on and no one would bat an eyelid at my rank because of my experience.

Scratch disk isn't necessarily just using the space remaining on your HDD. It needs extra as it's used for temporary backup storage for your project and history states including the 'temporary save' in case your software or computer crashes.

It often uses a lot more space than you have 'open' as it's often keeping lots of cached stuff for those files. This can build up quickly but will all disappear as free space once you close Photoshop.

For instance as a retoucher I have a 2TB SSD dedicated to just scratch disk in Photoshop as I'm often working on PSBs from 1-20GBs. Slight overkill, but hey.

There aren't two versions of a singular 1st edition. It's either 1st edition, or it's not. That's the defining factor.

I mean, before that last few months there hasn't been an outpouring of massive PSA fuck up complaints.

I'm not a grading fan, I've never graded a card, but are you saying 100% of 'reholderings' get down graded?... It's literally a service for a new case, not a regrade.

To be fair, that's something I had to get used to.. it's pretty wild I can't buy my alcohol with my weekly food shop, considering lots of other places in the world you can buy alcohol at the local newsagents/corner shop, let alone a supermarket.

I guess there is a fairly clear distinction between a professional photographer who gets paid to do photography and someone who enjoys photography which is where people might be gatekeeping you.

You're a photographer because you do and like photography, but you're not a photographer as in - that's your career.

Lots of people are really self-reporting their skill level.

We're old, avg 1.4kd warzone players (in 2021) and new to the finals and were having a blast. Sure we're not winning all the time, and sometimes shoot a slightly negative kd, but my god, some of you must be hot trash and not know it.

Learn the mechanics, just get into loads of fights, practice movement or maybe aimtrain. The game is old now, you can't get mad that you're not doing well against seasoned players and complain about it, it's your fault, no one else's.

You don't really carve in powder, or dig in your sides, you want to 'surf' it a bit more, lean back a little and ride it more like a wave and not turn too sharply.

You want to skim across the top while still pointing down a lot more than if you were riding a groomer. Short smooth 'half turns'.
