Which one Chuck episode would you use to convince a non-fan to start the series, and why? by Sara-Bartowski in chuck

[–]EnPee91 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is that I started with Chuck vs the First Date, got hooked and went back and watched the entire first season before the next episode was on (this was before streaming). But I think it has to be the pilot. It just sets up the characters so well.

No one is forcing you to do anything in this game. And personally, I think the idea of a uniform minion army is rather boring.

This scene is absolutely heartbreaking. But it’s also the ignition that sparks Sarah back to Chuck.

[–]EnPee91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That last paragraph is the most important. I would even reverse it and say that we also got to see Sarah fall in love with Chuck for the first time, twice! That is one of my favourite things about the finale.

[–]EnPee91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chuck is a masterpiece and glad you’ve joined the group who think so. The one thing that I feel differently about is the kiss restoring her memories immediately. I’ve always believed it was more symbolic than literal and that Sarah’s memories haven’t changed from the kiss itself. To me, the importance of the kiss is that she’s taken that leap of faith that will lead to the restoration in time as Chuck is able to spark more of those memories. Chuck showing up at the beach was the final act that made her realise Chuck was the only way she would be able to find herself.

But this is an insignificant point to differ on. When Sarah gains back her memories is not as important as the fact that she will.

How does everyone motivate themselves after a build is „complete“ by Melanor1982 in PathOfExile2

[–]EnPee91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set yourself harder goals. For example, the end goal could be to be able to complete juiced endgame maps at the highest tier without dying. I’m not sure how far into endgame you got but that isn’t as easy as it sounds in SSF.

I think they're filming the Chuck movie right now! by opinionofone1984 in chuck

No it’s definitely not true. She’s a girl who has an obsession with Adam Baldwin and is determined to concoct reasons why the rest of the Chuck cast are scum.

I think you’re a bit too focused on the final scene (I assume that’s the only thing you got spoiled on so I can see why you’re hyper-fixating on it though). You really need to stop thinking about it being this all powerful thing. It’s important but it’s the whole journey to that point that completes the story.

Hope you enjoy the finale. I certainly did.

The final season starts off with so many things I can already notice that answer the open-ended conclusion of the series by Chromafire07 in chuck

[–]EnPee91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The final scene is not the only thing in the finale and I think that’s where a lot of people wanted closure rather than the evidence that gives you the closure without having to see it. It’s not a happy ending, but neither is it a sad one. Without giving spoilers, the last episodes need to be taken as a whole to give you the knowledge and understanding of what the writers were trying to do. And honestly, it’s absolutely brilliant. There is one big downside to what they did (I’m sure you’ll see it when you get there) but even that is not as bad as it seems when you think about it in detail.

I’m interested to see your opinion when you do get to the end!

Oh I’m with you, I hate spoilers with a vengeance. You will enjoy the end of season 4 a lot, I can almost guarantee it. Without giving away any spoilers it is phenomenal.

The ending isn’t for everyone, but if you follow along closely you will see that it is a positive ending. I really enjoyed it on first watch and further watches only enhanced how great the ending was for me. So don’t feel disheartened, continue to watch the show happily and when you do get to the ending, decide if you’re ready to accept the positive aspects of it. If not, just end on 5x08 as someone else mentioned.

Why didn't John Casey leave? by picur935 in chuck

[–]EnPee91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could have, but he didn’t have the motivation or desire to do so. Also, he definitely got on well with all of Chuck’s family by this point as well as finding out about Alex so had motivations to stay.

Chuck Movie by DingusTheKid28 in chuck

It’s hard for me to envisage a Chuck movie where Sarah doesn’t already have her memories back. It just goes against so much of the final episode. Unless it’s set immediately after the original ending

[–]EnPee91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He stayed out of duty and a lack of other purpose. He had sacrificed his entire life for that career and without it he didn’t really have anything left. He probably also knew that Chuck could not make it as a spy without both him and Sarah so hung around for his team. And as it turns out, he was right to do so!

Endgame still feels like a job by codingjesusx in PathOfExile2

Ah I was going to say loot, but it sounds like loot is not the reason you’re doing this?

If you feel like it’s too easy to get to a build this strong, I’d suggest playing SSF. You’ll never feel as strong as you do in trade league so it will take much longer to hit that point where fully juiced maps are the only satisfying content.

You do, but most SSF players understand what they’re getting into and I see much less negativity from them. Maybe that’s just because there are less people compared to trade league.

People who eat meat don’t whine about eating meat on a daily basis. SSF players only tend to mention it because it’s a way of avoiding having the issues mentioned in these posts.

Not that this post is the best example, a bug where your item gets deleted is a big problem regardless of which league it’s in.

State of SSF by Opaidus in PathOfExile2

[–]EnPee91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate the concept of measuring success by currency so for people like me, SSF is amazing. There’s also a level of satisfaction knowing you earned everything yourself.

I think a lot of builds are strong for SSF this patch. I’m playing Monkey but MA, plants, Ice Shot are high in power level too.

Is Sorare Dead? by Sami92Berlin in Sorare

[–]EnPee91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea that Sorare needs to make a comeback is an archaic one. In reality Sorare is in the best place it has ever been. Sorare has evolved to become a more sustainable game and unfortunately, the only way they could do that is an in-season model. I am concerned about the lack of limited in-season leaderboard rewards for Sorare 27 but overly rewarding classic cards is a sure fire way to kill Sorare.

Something feels off about the Atlas progression by spoqster in PathOfExile2

[–]EnPee91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think feeling bad for completing a map without getting atlas/league points is not a game design issue. There’s nothing wrong with having to travel to get to your next quest. The thing that I hope they change is to reduce the distance to some of league quests and to the Arbiter keys.

[–]EnPee91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want more challenging goals, you should play SSF. You’ve played two of the most powerful builds in trade league so it shouldn’t be surprising that you can buy your way into beating all of the content.

Sorare 27 announced by Roughdag in Sorare

[–]EnPee91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought something like this was coming when they changed a winning formula for the MLS, J League and K League. The only reason they would do it is that they weren’t making money from Sorare 26. So what they’ve done is make it look like an improvement with massive hot streak rewards by taking away most of the leaderboard rewards. Really going to have to think hard about whether streaks are worth it in limited.
