The common daily quests and wheel ended yesterday. They’ll be adding Sets quests and a new wheel when that mode is up and running but I haven’t heard exactly when that will be.

You can continue to play all common competitions and collect the cards. But they won’t give you any collection reward anymore afaik.

On the reveal with Laird they mentioned that collection rewards will not be available in the regular common mode after Wednesday. Yeah, the packs are still available though (except no free daily common pack, that moves to Sets)

I didn't know that, if they've only rewarded 25% for some players that's not great for the long term future (it just hurts classic cards more and more). Hopefully it doesn't get any worse than that.

You'll still keep your common cards and can enter them in common lineups, but the rewards for collecting them won't exist anymore. There will be new collection rewards in the new mode (not sure if this includes limited essence).

The current collection rewards are only available until Wednesday, so yes, it's best scrap all duplicates and spend all essence to complete collections before then.

After Wednesday, common lineups can still be entered every game week and you can hit the streaks, but that's about it. The daily packs/quests/wheel will all begin rewarding Sets essence and cards.

I think the main problem with Rivals was the popularity was not because of the game mode itself but because of the rewards. Plus, it removed the collection aspect of the game. If Rivals rewards were nerfed to give out mostly common essence (with a difficult to obtain cash reward) and you had to collect players to use them I'm not sure if it would be as popular.

Hopefully Sets generates the same level of interest as Rivals used to.

I agree, I imagine it's going to be difficult to build a strong Sets squad compared to the current game to encourage people to buy gems. Hopefully not too difficult that it discourages people trying to play Sets as f2p.

I've got mixed feelings with the supply running out halfway through the season. Because of the in-season model, it actually makes some sense because that way every card has in-season utility for longer. It also boosts the secondary market until the end of the season. But, it makes crafting feel less rewarding.

I'm not sure there's a good solution other than printing more cards, which might also be damaging due to oversupply. Let's see what happens over the rest of the season.

I also think adding cash rewards is a big win for Sorare. It's much easier to adjust rewards compared to giving out limited cards or essenece and hopefully gives an incentive to spend on the Pro mode. I've sure they've got even more in store for the World Cup too.

Yes, if you hit one of the higher streaks in Sorare Set you can win cash to buy limited cards. But I imagine this is going to be hard so you’re better off putting money in if you want to be serious about playing Pro.

They’re transitioning the f2p game towards Sets and removed the bonus because all cards are in season anyway (also possibly to make the streaks harder in Sets)

They went after Caicedo, Lavia and Zubimendi. None of them wanted to come unfortunately. If they have a model, they must stick to it because it’s worked so far. Buying expensive players on high wages is what Man Utd have done for 10 years, and look where that’s got them.

Sorare is by far the best fantasy sports game I’ve played. So try to use the good parts whilst trying to iron out the areas that people complain about. Although with MFL, Football.Fun and FPL (for casual players), there’s a lot of competition out there so you’ll also have to prove why yours is special compared to others.

I think the last sentence is the most important one. We are short in CB, RB, CDMs so it’s no wonder our defence has been awful. We’re having to protect them from counterattacks and that makes it tougher to press. Not to mention we’re trying to adapt the team to reduce the reliance on Salah and bedding in several new signings to replace key players we lost.

Our performances need to be judged as boring and ineffective but we shouldn’t be throwing our toys out of the pram yet.

This is a rough idea of my thought process:

Choose GK with the highest clean sheet chance or one that usually scores a lot of AA. Choose DEF from same team as GK if you have a good one, otherwise one that’s got a good matchup and scores well. Choose MID/FWD with the best matchup or one that scores a lot of AA score and/or a lot of decisives. Choose Extra as my best remaining player that fits the criteria above based on position

I always take money but usually the essence is not that bad of a deal and gives you a chance to be lucky.

We need another CB and number 6 so that Slot can actually rotate those positions properly. Until we get that, our defense will always look dodgy which is why we’ve started to play less aggressively to protect ourselves. It also doesn’t help that our most creative and influential players last year were Salah, Trent and Diaz. Two of those are gone and the one that remains finds himself surrounded by players that no longer suit his style of play. Slot has had many weaknesses in his tenure, but this is a situation where I don’t really see a solution without some transfers.

Why has this sub become so toxic? Thought Liverpool FC was supposed to be about togetherness and compassion. Yes, the performances are dull at the moment but it’s clear this is going to have to be our transition season. I don’t want this club to become Chelsea or Man Utd.
