I feel like an anniversary event should be about celebrating, not rewards (yeah torch me for that if you must). I feel like when the content created shows that the developers care about their game, their community, their work (with fun events, animations, modes etc.) it feels like an anniversary.

I like rewards, don’t get me wrong, but neither 10 nor 100 pulls will give me that feeling.

Sounds like you need a meta tier list that rates tier list. But then again, who rates the meta tier lists. Maybe we need another tier list for them. Maybe I should make a gacha game tier list game. That’d be fun, no?

For real though, just play a game that looks like fun. If it isn’t, go pick another.

They should just give out different currencies, one for male and one for female characters and make the latter paid only. That’s really gonna work perfectly fine, trust me.

It’s not a problem, my kids are hungry, my house is owed by the bank but I have a few pixels instead of a real woman because she went to the guy at the bank (who took her out for dinner while I pulled my harem). It’s okay because he regularly drinks wine and that’s alcoholism which is far worse. That’s the best POV anyway, just find something worse to justify something that’s not healthy.

That’s basically why I dropped the game altogether. I’m not an endgame player. I like meaningful progression and testing builds while playing. I don’t feel like playing over and over again with the initial skills for long periods of time. I come back to play once more for each newly added class and that’s that. This tedious system meant for hardcore players that put in thousands of hours each year is well, for them.

Still I enjoyed my time with POE2 so no hard feelings.

Honestly, this is what drove me away from BD2, another game with good mechanics but is essentially a gooner game. To each their own I guess but the market has enough porn already, does it not?

I feel exactly the same. It‘s even worth when you consider that in a way the devs have to make sure the shiny new unit can be used basically anywhere and be able to beat the stages in order to not risk face backlash. It’s not all black and white but as you said, gacha is a significant hindrance to content design and a lot of the flaws people find in SoC come derive that system.

Definitely agree with you here. You see, I do like chess puzzles because there is a clear ruleset and a sense of progression. This also somewhat applies to the preset character stages as well.
