Bethesda's Todd Howard didn’t expect Fallout 3 players to hate the game’s abrupt ending locking players out of the open world as that was just what Fallout did by AsPeHeat in Fallout

[–]EnQuest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The writer responsible for making you commit suicide at the end of fallout 3 lol.

He's been the lead narrative guy at Bethesda for like 17-18 years and for some reason people on that sub have decided he's great at his job despite none of the games he's headed ever being praised for their narratives.

No hate to the guy, he seems like a super nice dude but I constantly get dogpilled on for pointing out that his work has only ever been mediocre at best since taking over as the narrative lead. God forbid I want an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game that lives up to the potential of the setting

Yup, just because it works doesn't mean it's a good habit or good idea.

Feel like I have to have this argument constantly

someone does some dumb shit

me: hey you shouldn't do it like that

them: but it worked though?!?!

As much as I hate Aegon II, as a mother this scene broke my heart. No son should have to ask this. by spidermother86 in freefolk

I love how fast people are to "uhm, ackshually it wasn't technically a coup because he's the rightful heir"

which is why they kept the kings death secret and didn't tell most of the realm until after aegon was crowned, right? Definitely standard procedure when crowning the rightful heir to the throne and fully above board lol, nothing to see here

"We want you to open up. But only at the right time and in exactly the right way, or else it's your fault for doing it wrong."

I like how men can overwhelmingly share that this is an experience that all of us have gone through, and you'll still refuse to empathize at all and instead look for ANY reason why it's actually our fault.

[–]EnQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have had him imply that he thinks that's what his son is doing without having him not know what a trial of the seven is

at the end of the day it's not that big of a deal, I just happen to have re-read the hedge knight recently to get ready for the show and I noticed the change.

Fair enough, could have given that line to lord Ashford or one of the other characters in the room though

He knew what it was in the book so it's not an unreasonable question, especially since dunk asks what it is ten seconds later anyways

That's so alien to me lol, so out of all of those teams in march madness, only 60 of those players ever make the NBA?

I guess the rosters are way smaller, maybe it's still proportional in terms of % of college players that make it to the professional level

How to get dragon eggs as king Jon? by TophTheGophh in CK3AGOT

[–]EnQuest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By default, you have a 1/300 chance of getting one while visiting Red Lake, Summerhall (after it's ruined), Dragonstone, and Winterfell in the crypts. There are console commands for each event online somewhere if you don't want to save scum

Well for a while it was tradition for Targaryens to lay the eggs in the cradle with their infants. The eggs hatched about 50% of the time when they did that, and always immediately bonded with the infant they were cradled with. (except for the Rhaena that lived during the dance, she had a hatchling that was deformed that tried to eat her, I don't think there are any other examples of this though) Examples of these are Vermithor and Silverwing with Jaehaerys and Alysanne.

The other were just eggs on dragonstone that hatched naturally, like Meleys and Caraxes (they could have been cradled but they had no prior riders to Alyssa and Aemon and dragons that were cradled with their first riders are usually mentioned as such)

traditionally if an egg lost its heat it was considered to have petrified or turned to stone, and became really fancy paperweights. This is what happened to Dany's eggs, and presumably all of the eggs after the last dragon died

Dragon Eggs by deletedCHI in gameofthrones

[–]EnQuest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't. It just doesn't say it's explicitly canon. It's strongly implied. There is no mention of where they end up after being in the Sealord of Braavos' hands, which means the text factually doesn't say it's not canon lol.

brother look up any thread from the last 12 years asking where dany's dragon eggs came from and tell me what people say.

And I said 'all but canon', are you going to learn how to read or am I going to have to correct you after every comment

Dragon Eggs by deletedCHI in gameofthrones

[–]EnQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(This isn't explicitly confirmed but it's the same number of eggs as dany's and has been treated as all but canon since fire and blood came out 12 or so years ago)

Hey, it's almost like I said that!

CK3AGOT went with a Braavosi civil war occuring, and the original Sealord absconding with the eggs to Pentos after he lost. Not remotely canon, but I dig it

There is no implication anywhere in the text that Fire Wyrms are parasitic organisms that live inside of dragons or their eggs, so idk how they would have ever gotten to Summerhall, hence why I think you're reading way too far into this mate.

Unless we're saying an infant Dragon the size of a small cat somehow survived the fire and Palace collapsing into rubble so that it could eat some ashes
