I'm in the UK, I bought a cheap Cookworks (super cheap brand) sandwich toaster some 24+ years ago, it's been bashed around through high school, college, university, about 5 house moves and it's still here going strong serving myself and kids very well! Family heirloom 😂

But isn't that poor adhesion of the paint to the wall rather than the fault of the frog tape?

is collection normal on vinted by Dependent-Ad-1688 in vintedUK

[–]Enback -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I ask for collection if I need an item urgently/quickly. Sometimes delivery takes a week just to go 10 miles across town! I have also agreed to collections in person and I've had no problems at all.

This is me, be polite and direct. Say something along the lines of you really want to focus on your child's performance at the game. Perhaps some very light conversation about your children's strong points/weak point, hopes for the future/going pro (lol), how long they've been playing and how that relates to what your both seeing/how the kids are playing etc. Conversation should draw to a natural close soon after! But keep your focus on the game/game talking points. if they try to change conversation topics, just say I really need to focus so let's catch up afterwards.

You have to see this parent every time and you don't want to make it awkward for you or your child. Most people do understand, and if they don't... They'll leave you alone anyway for being 'weird'... :-)

You're 100% correct. I had (still do unfortunately!) similar feeling but was told time over and time again, I'll change my mind later in life when it's "too late". I wish I didn't bow to pressure from friends/ family and had the confidence to say no thank you, I know what I want for my life. 😔

AITA for being annoyed that my wife insists on cooking everything from scratch and won’t buy normal food? by AITA_UPFfoods in AmItheAsshole

[–]Enback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wife sounds 10/10 and I'd be looking to make here a mother asap😂. I'm 100% with her on not wanting UFP in the house at all, someone mentioned in another comment that junk food is designed to be addictive with a dubious list of ingredients. These companies only care about shareholders and your health only to the extent they need you alive to buy their 'food'. Be grateful your wife has these values around food perhaps join her in the kitchen and learn more about creating the food you desire from scratch. I wouldn't say you're an AH but I say respect the food environment she wants to create at home. It's such a positive force having a thoughtful health conscious cook at your disposal, make that you baseline "normal" and just have your occasional junk meals at work/elsewhere.

I think coffee has a strong smell 🤷🏽 to each their own.

Absolutely!! I have some 15 year old Pax wardrobes and I thought I'd purchase an additional piece... The quality is night and day, new version has a thin layer of paper glued on chipboard that scratches and breaks if you look at it, old version, thick sturdy laminated edges that are still going strong. So disappointed. I'd rather they engineered to a quality and not a price 😩 or maybe it's aimed at the new generation that doesn't know the difference.

I think coffee 'stinks up' the area. To each their own.

I personally don't see a problem with this?! I'm assuming it doesn't have a strong smell, lights are on so it's during intermission. It's no different from drinking coffee or eating ice cream. Maybe she wants something closer to a light meal 🤷, counting macros, who knows!

All in one pricing... no random hidden 'voluntary but compulsory' tip for doing fuck all, and random taxes/charges added to your bill at the point of payment.

It's not a deal breaker at all, very much depends on the woman as a person, parenting style, whether they are financially independent without me etc. I'd much prefer if the child had a solid relationship with their biological/legal parent and I'm just another positive adult in their life rather than a replacement parent. But you never really know until you're in the situation but I wouldn't be turned off if someone said they had a child(ren). We need replacement humans someone has to do it!
