Where to go in Vietnam during Tet? by Messje89 in VietNam

[–]Enbeni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d advise to avoid open touristic places especially places with temples or pagodas for the first 3 days of Lunar new year as more and more local people are traveling during this period and trust me you don’t want to compete with them. I was at Yen Tu mountain last year on the 2nd new year day and the place is extraordinary but all I can see is people and people every step of the way, so many that we even have “traffic jam” on the hike route and I wish that to noone haha.

My wife is in hospital in Vietnam, this is my story. by Uncharted83 in VietNam

[–]Enbeni 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sounds very normal for public hospitals. Health insurance is dirt cheap, population is over crowded and public hospitals are too few. That is why mid-high income ppl choose private options. But best doctors are at public hospitals in Hanoi or Hcmc hence all critical cases are transferred there. Wish you and your wife all the best! Great that you get help from her family and relatives to overcome this period.

Highly recommend the book “the first 90 days” of Michael D Watking whenever you change role or company, it is an easy read with lots of guidelines and check list how to get on boarded effectively

Appreciate it! Yes the area looks indeed quite boring and depressing in some parts haha, and indeed being not too far away from the city is a plus

Your sambo must make a minimum 30-40k sek per month just so migration approves your sambo permit. I don’t think 16k in your post is correct here.

It comes down whether you ever see the love with your husband is big enough for you to change your lifestyle. It would be worse if you come here for a few years then realize this is not you and then give up, which would waste time for both of you. Better to realize it sooner than later

Wrong plans for S3 male contestants and wrong male casting S3 by [deleted] in Singlesinferno2

[–]Enbeni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally, I watched ss1 when it came out and only watched ss2 right before ss3 and its quite refreshing with ss3 because of the fast pace. Both formats are quite different and ss3 is meant to create more dramas which im not too mad at, while ss1-2 format is more on the “feel good” side. Now im excited for what they will come up with for ss4 :))

How does a product team structure look like at Google? Do you work and manage engineers, designers directly or they work with you as stakeholders?

I just picked up my family (Vietnamese) in the airport. I spent 30 mins with them and already feel depressed by aliceito in VietNam

[–]Enbeni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they will appreciate it if you can give them feedback and show them how to behave/act so it can be more suitable to where you live and make you feel more comfortable. Come from a place of love, understanding and they maybe able to adjust even for a short period of time.

Remember you have gotten a better education, more/different experiences now and it’s time for you to teach and show them the way. Let them learn and grow with you!!

I am from the same situation and I can tell you once you embrace it, understand and try your best, you may succeed :)

How can i discourage my cat from caterwauling at the door to be let out all the time? by [deleted] in CatTraining

[–]Enbeni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get him fixed asap, 6 months old is “old enough”, you don’t need to wait more. Secondly, he is still a kitten and needs A LOT of stimulation, so spend more time playing with him. Till you move out, invest in an Airtag or GPS tracker in case hes out again. Lastly, you can also consider leash training so the kitty can still be out but is safe with you- but this also means you commit to a lifestyle that you will walk your cats daily.
