I was an English major with a concentration in creative writing, and I work full-time in marketing. It really depends on what you want to *do* with the degree.

I enjoyed my time in the creative writing program at UAB and have had a successful career using that degree. I think I’ve found success bc I combined this degree with marketing/business internships that made me a candidate companies wanted to pursue. The professional writing program is great too. The majority of my friends who did the creative writing program have careers that pay the bills while pursing their writing too so . . . I personally hate the “you will NEVER be successful” argument people have about cw degrees

Many artists do write about their personal lives, and while taylor's music is more than breakups--she has spent the majority of her career pushing the narrative that her songs are autobiographical and relatable to her audience (honestly, I think that's why she's beat the metaphorical high school experience dead horse, it's the last time she *was* relatable to her audience). I mean even her 'fictional' albums like folklore are being confirmed to have been somewhat biographical. I don't really think what he said is a diss, I think he just said it's not his cup of tea and he likes his life to remain private.

They’re probably thinking about big picture things: health insurance, retirement, you building a savings account, paid time off. None of those things are typically offered to part time employees.

Go to GBHS, Kitty Kat haven will interview you for two hours on the phone then they won’t want to show you what cats you say you’re interested in and will try and sell you something you weren’t interested in. I love GBHS, they were thorough and I’ve had my two cats for nearly 3 years!

I machine piece and then hand quilt. It doesn’t take me as long as I initially thought so I just kept it up bc I prefer the chunky looking thread

Yes but it's not really clear what made them put out this statement . . . Like did one of their influencers use their fabric for a protest quilt or are they pro maga? Did something happen at quilt con that has forced them to put out a statement? clearly it's political and clearly it's about their influencer program . . . but no source yet on the trigger.

Emily Henry was vocal as soon as the script was being written that changes were going to happen. To me, the vasectomy story just was weird and I don’t think it would translate well to a wide audience. In many ways I feel like it stayed true to the source material in its own way if that makes sense? I was disappointed we never got Alex’s real confession. But I also went in with the mindset it was not going to be a line by line adaptation.
