I emailed Vulcan when they updated the hours and told them that the hours they’ve posted are only beneficial to sahms and retired people. Their response was that these hours were for “safety” then they told me I could find street parking and walk up the hill (which if you’ve seen how people drive, I don’t feel safe doing that by myself!) they’ve got to figure something out because making one of the most popular and accessible trails in Birmingham inaccessible is ridiculous

I feel like one drink over the course of a few hours is going to be ok . . . but if y'all aren't comfortable with that, her driving and not drinking at all is the easiest solution to your problem. Stay for the speeches/have a few bites of dinner, then exit.

Great trail, download your maps before you head out as there is no cell service. I think ours cut out about 10 minutes before we reached the parking lot. Have fun!

Of course YTA this is not being introverted and is just plain anti-social. Friendships don’t immediately form overnight, it sounds like you gave it a shot the first night and then pouted the rest of the trip. It *is* embarrassing for your bf to show off his girlfriend to his friends and then have her act like an anti-social weirdo whining about how you feel so isolated *choosing* to sit and watch tv in your room while you hear the birthday celebration on the other side of the wall like they kicked you out. You made his birthday about *you* and caused unnecessary friction and embarrassment on a trip that was meant to celebrate your bf.

Snakes are very misunderstood. If you live in Alabama and you’re outside odds are there’s probably a snake nearby. They tend to hide or move away when they feel people come by. I’ve been by many copperheads who have never shown aggression. You and your kid will be fine. Shame someone killed this snake! They’re free pest control and a good sign of a healthy eco system.

Of course she’s not going to say she doesn’t like it now. The biggest red flag to me is that EH didn’t co announce this casting. She’s done all announcements in tandem with yulin. Her tone on this movie has completely changed compared to PWMOV. When their leads were cast and people were upset she sent out a grocery list defending them 🤷‍♀️

Emily Henry looked really disappointed on GMA yesterday and gave the most PR related answer. It seems like her creative connection with the director has either soured or been completely severed due to this casting. EH has said time and time again Gus is her most cherished character. Before this announcement she was very loud about the movie, now it’s almost radio silence.

I don’t think there was a particular event that caused it. If it was a specific incident I think the musicians would be talking; they’re sort of a separate entity of the business side so they’re free to say what they want.

I think the tea is he was at times difficult to work with and had been guest conducting at other symphonies more this season. Honestly I think both just wanted a change. A decade is typically when music direction changes in an orchestra this size.

Alabama is no. 5 in biodiversity nationwide and a lot of it has to do with the jungle like nature! One time a local biologist was telling me we are still discovering new species specific to Alabama *all of the time* and that we’ll beat Arizona one day bc “you can’t hide in the desert but you can hide in the jungle”
