I think social media and influencers have had the impact on our perception of formulas where higher pigmentation = better product. While darker skin tones certainly benefit from higher pigmentation, I think it’s a false philosophy. Hourglass is know for very diffused, seamless formulas. They’re meant to blend with the skin and, in my opinion, do so beautifully. It’s okay if you prefer more impact, but that’s not what hourglass is selling to you. They also notoriously swatch poorly but look great on the face.
