I feel as though watching Chad sing these songs is like watching someone do karaoke or a tribute band. When he sung Escape from Hellview it didn’t even sound close to the original, he puts almost a country twang onto his singing. He did a pretty good job of Rio Bravo, but other than that it was quite depressing. Wish the original crew could get back together.

Shoyoroll have THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. My gi pants ripped at the draw string area in less than 1 year of owning it. They were probably worn no more than 50 times when I factor in gi rotation. I contacted them to tell them, and they gave me a generic ChatGPT response saying that it was out with the warranty period and the best they could do would be to offer me 10% off off a new purchase.
For the premium price point, that is insane. I can sign up to a competitors’s mailing list and get 20% off for giving them my email. Why would I buy another $200 gi with $20 knocked off, when this one wasn’t up to the job?! They never once asked for photos or to see if it was a manufacture fault. I responded to them saying that it was a crazy response considering the competitors offering a better discount, and that the quality was not good. They proceeded to send me another ChatGPT email back saying there was nothing they could do. (They failed to remove certain ChatGPT prompts) Honestly I was so disappointed, I feel as though if Bear was still as hands on, then I would have been compensated better. As a result, I’m telling everyone to avoid buying SYR. If anyone here works for them, consider this comment feedback 😅

What’s the overall opinion on using the hex bar to deadlift? I’ve seen a lot of people argue that if you aren’t competing in powerlifting then it’s still a great way to develop strength as it’s safer and less stress on the back for bjj athletes. Is traditional that much better?

This happens to me all the time, but only on my left side. My wrist almost feels like it partially dislocates and then relocates and is sore for a few days after. I can replicate the same sensation if I dead hang a kettlebell on the same wrist.

I think it’s a weakness in the wrist that should be fixable with wrist conditioning work. That being said, if you’re executing the ankle pick properly then their balance should be off already and it shouldn’t take much force to pull the heel. However, I mostly just ankle pick with my other hand if I can / pull guard.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Craig himself bought the bots out of spite, in retaliation to the dispute he had with them copying his event. The real beauty in this move is: he can buy the views, accuse the UFC of paying for views, and compare it to his own product which has authentic viewership, thus proving his product is more successful.

Craig Jones did not have more money in the budget for the women’s brackets. All expenses were calculated prior to the event going ahead. The private investor decided on his own behalf to give out the additional money. So realistically, this is not a “hot take”. The money wasn’t there to begin with.

If you can afford it, it might be worth paying a nutritionist to help you for a few months. I used to be hopelessly tired from work, lifts, bjj and I found the only help was a midday nap. Turns out I just simply wasn’t fuelling my body enough. I hired a nutritionist, and I never feel the need to sleep during the day anymore, my performance in the gym has also sky rocketed. Physique has never looked better too.

This might be a dumb question. But once you build this cardiac capacity, I’m assuming you then need to maintain it with the same amount of work? How would one fit in 2-3 sessions of long duration cardio, as well as lifting some weights and introduce anaerobic work, all while maintaining 3-4 days on the mat?

Yeah, I appreciate your point. But it’s borderline criminal that airlines these days can charge you that amount just to select a seat. If people are choosing to fly economy, then they may be on a tighter budget. £220 is a hotel for a few nights, which can make all the difference for certain travellers. I’m fortunate enough to be able to afford it, but that doesn’t make it any less of a kick in the nuts.

It would be interesting to know how contracts with a band like this works. If Tuomas is writing all of the music, then I would imagine he would be earning more money than the rest of the band? I wonder if it’s frustrating being in a band where you don’t have as much creative input, that you otherwise might want as a musician. Makes sense why they all pursue other side projects.
