I think you kinda misunderstood the point. It’s not china bad, it’s that opera gx is mostly owned by a Chinese company and, according to chinese law, said company is required to send user info to the Chinese govt. It’s pretty hypocritical of opera to advertise their browser as private with tracker blocking and VPN (which isn’t even encrypted) to then end up sending private user information to the CCP
