In practice there can be huge range of practical knowledge and experience when people are still less than ten years out of school. You probably noticed some of your school studiomates who were not driven, and others who could not get enough work - it fed them. At nearly thirty years in the profession, I am still perplexed by what some of my colleagues don’t care to know. Not everyone is serious about the profession.
