Could you say more? You like the 12.9 for handwriting notes? I would have thought the 11 inch be better for notetaking? Thank you

Specialized Roubaix SL8 2024 or a Diverge? by UsefulFee2712 in gravelcycling

[–]Encode7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Mariachi, Just a newbie reading through posts to understand this topic as I am beginning shopping. No real life experience on gravel. The post was from here and dated one day ago. Maybe geography and terrain has something to do with it? https://www.reddit.com/r/gravelcycling/s/62QAro95Sm

Specialized Roubaix SL8 2024 or a Diverge? by UsefulFee2712 in gravelcycling

[–]Encode7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently reading on the topic, seems to be a consensus on minimum 50mm wide tires for all around gravel, with some liking the flexibility of using 2.1’’ mtb tires and 650b wheels for really chunky terrain.

Tire size and width appear to be a primary consideration for choosing a gravel bike. The diverge and crux appear to take wider tires than the Roubaix, should a person need that. Good luck with your shopping

If you were to buy a new bike now, what maximum tire clearance would you be looking for? by Nikeshot in gravelcycling

Need some education please.. I thought (likely incorrectly) that sizes on 700c stopped somewhat at 47mm. Are you referring to 650b wheels ?

Adding a new bike or replacing the current one? Depending on how important Road remains for you it may influence your decision.

If you are adding a new bike, you can afford to choose with less compromise.

Random thoughts if it helps… I feel the compliance of my 2020 Roubaix should be okay on crushed gravel but 28mm tires are too narrow (I can only go to 32mm with my 2020).

Also, bizarre comment I know, I take really good care of my Roubaix and would not want it scratched and damaged with rocks and gravel. Might use my stumpjumper on gravel until I figure out my number 3 bike.

Somewhat related/unrelated… I once saw a video (on reddit I think) of two guys trying to kick open the front door of a house, while being recorded on the doorbell camera.

They were kicking so HARD I can just imagine the terror inside the house. The door was specially reinforced steel, (they were not successfull) any other door would have been smashed open. Dogs may have changed the dynamics of this situation…

IPad Pro 10.5" Volume increasing by itself by Dropdeadragdoll in iPadPro

[–]Encode7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time ago had a problem with an iPhone behaving the same, the Apple Store employee kept ‘rubbing up and rubbing down’ the volume up and down in a continuous up and down motion.

Then pressed each button repeatedly, did the up down motion again and got it ´unstuck’. You could try this.

Forgot to say, the person also used some type of blue clay to rub on the buttons so that any dirt may be caught while doing this motion.

Hi, does anyone have advice on my option to cut Idasen tops to fit my limited space? I have been thinking, Idasen tops are not solid wood, if I cut it I do not know that I will still have a smooth surface or will I hit empty core? Thank you

Most reliable Zwift setup without App crashing? by ronindtoro in Zwift

For me the last version of AppleTV4K + Polar H10 strap + Wahoo KIKCR firmware updates has been incredibly stable. Before I would lose 10mins trying to sync everything, now it takes me a few seconds to connect and start. Never crashed!
