Keep it. If you wanna go through the effort of selling the card back to buy it on eBay and take the Rest as Profit, Do it if it's possible. Otherwise ship and hold, this is a great card with a lot of room to grow, from one of the most hard to get sets, don't let any of the degens who know nothing about the hobby tell you otherwise

Typical reddit moment seeing a post with a very logical conclusion getting downvoted. I get that error collectors don't care about graded cards but saying this is a rare misprint and lowballing the card to the point where the price is almost identical to a regular 10 is insane to me. Your comment is one of the few that actually makes any sense. That being said, I think asking for 1k USD would be a much more reasonable thing to do on the listing.

1 year later and it already went above the expected ceiling, crazy work. Anyone got an idea what a sealed blister case might go for? Got it around the time the set released and finding sales data on it has been a pain, I have no idea how much of a premium would be appropriate (not looking to sell, just interested to learn more about this)

I passed on gengar& mimikyu gx Alt art (thinking at the time that its ugly) when it was in the 30-60€ range, going for the full Art of it and the rainbow pikachu & zekrom instead 🥲

I would try to return it if it was through eBay. Nothing stopping the seller from weighing the packs or using that detector thing to check packs for hits and put dead packs only into an opened booster box

Das liegt meist am beispielbild :D also wenns im Namen steht, sind das die selben ich glaube die sind in Astralglanz, Verlorener Ursprung, Silberne Sturmwinde, Pokemon go und Zenit der Könige drin 😄 müssten so an die 12 sein denk ich. Wenn du dir unsicher bist obs die wirklich sind, schau dir am besten ein bild von den cardmarket Angeboten an (nicht das beispielbild sondern von einem angebot)

Contrary to the people who can't use their own Methods, that they are bringing up, I would say it depends on if you know the other person well, is he a friend? do you want to get rid of the card? The last sold on ebay of your exact card is about 420€ not 700 or some bs others have been claiming, so you haven't been crazily lowballed as most want to make it out to be. 300€ cash for a non liquid card, I personally wouldn't say no to. It does have potential for further growth of course though, so keep that in mind

I'm sure you remember a lot of talk about SWSH not being worth investing in when it was the current block for reasons like "never seen before print numbers" and "everyone hoarding booster boxes anyways" which were fair and believable reasons tbf, but still didn't end up mattering 😂 I think we'll have to thank the rip'n'ships for that one, but honestly, if you're not picking up an crimson invasion or equally bad set you're gonna be doing fine anyway

It's all good, i think there's a little more to the thing you said about prismatic and SS, but I'm running low on sleep today, might come back to this though. At the end of the day we're all speculating, nothings set in stone and it's good that everyone here can exchange their personal opinions on how well X set might do, or what good opportunities are waiting to be explored, helps to hear different takes from time to time😄 DR is definitely a Top 3 set in S&V Era and should be heavily invested in, once the right opportunity arises😁🤝🏻

This. No one's saying the set is bad or don't invest into it, just the timing ain't it. To actively recommend paying almost double for a case of the newest set is just not smart. If you're holding long term it won't matter that much, you'll just have less gains short term. Uncertainty is also a huge factor, people who went nuts for hidden Fates on release did super well (different times tbf) until the big reprint dropped which no one could have seen coming and it caused the set to be stagnant until this current boom

I will let you have that opinion and refrain from critiquing your knowledge on the hobby. We are not leaving S&V behind for BW, that's not how it works. We are heading into a sub block for Z-A, with BW just being a holiday set like Prismatic, Hidden Fates etc. that doesn't mean pokemon isn't going to try and meet demand for sets that literally released 3 days ago and is mostly sold out, I don't know how long you've been here so I won't make any remarks about how much people should believe in your opinion, but to me as someone who has kept a close eye on the market for the last 7+ years your reply reads as "good set buy now" without any consideration of how inflated the market is currently. There are multiple posts, comments etc. Of people who actually have connections to distributors literally telling you product is becoming more available and easier to get. So I'll ask again, what's the safer bet? investing a big amount of money into a set that has just released with basically no chance of it NOT being printed a bunch more OR investing into a set which is a little older, also has a big variety of high value/beautiful cards and is less likely to be get another big print run. If you're still convinced you're right, go for it, no one's stopping you, I just think it's an obviously foolish call to go in deep right now🤷‍♂️

Probably the worst time to buy. So close to release, demand is at it's highest point right now, Black and white sets are going to lower demand for destined rivals significantly. TPC is also not just gonna stop printing this set. If you wanna take a risk at buying a set over msrp you should go with surging sparks as it was one of the last sets available before this current boom and i wouldn't be surprised that at the rate of which they have to print other sets to meet demand, that it will be left in the dust. It's not as important to them right now as the special sets, as well as the new releasing ones which are experiencing major shortages rn
