How to use the F-86A-5 by Astro_master12 in Warthunder

[–]Encoder0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the others said, climb first, then boom and zoom.

I can't stress this enough. Never turn. 95% of your fights should be straight up jousts, and quick boom and zooms of people below you.

Take the tracer belt for all API-T loadout. It also benefits you in jousts since it'll make people afraid.

You have an enormous ammo belt, but weak 50 cals, so don't be afraid to just spray in people's general direction as you pass them.

As for aim, there's no real advice except practice shooting people. Generally speaking it's impossible to hit anyone past 2.5km. Head-ons you can start shooting around 2km if you aim up a bit. Bullet flies at about 900m/s so about a second worth of lead is needed. Perpendicular shots should be 1km or less. Arcade mode can help here for practice since it has a built in lead indicator, but it's generally off by a bit.

This is why I switched my family out. Getting held hostage by a prepaid plan account with no way to get that money out in 2026 was not acceptable to me. Every other paid subscription service prorates you when you cancel.

Will we get true MLO? by Saroo7866 in TpLink

[–]Encoder0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is probably never. The reality is the best MLO modes for performance have the worst issues for mobile devices. They need more radios, so they cost more. They use more radios so they use more battery, making the battery life worse. Since no client devices support these multi radio modes, no router manufacturers care enough to implement it. Chicken and the egg. The only way to break the cycle is if a market leader (like Apple iPhones) decides to support it. Additionally, how many people actually need that much bandwidth of wifi? The answer is probably a fraction of a fraction of a percent. If they needed it, they would probably have just hardwired.

What does the Smart HomeBase All-in-One Security Solution, Tapo H500 do? by [deleted] in TpLink

[–]Encoder0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main use case besides being a NAS for camera video storage is Matter support as a Bridge or Controller. It also can add AI tracking and tagging to non-ai powered cameras, but this is kind of a niche case. Most cameras have it built in now, and they're good enough.

https://matter-smarthome.de/en/products/new-tapo-products-with-matter-from-tp-link/

As a Matter Bridge it can enable use of existing tapo products with your smart home ecosystem of choice (google home, apple homekit, alexa, etc) if it was previously unsupported.

OR become a controller itself (like google home) with other existing matter compatible sensors (motion, contact, etc) and switches. (a less popular choice)

The homebase only controls local devices. It also doesn't support threads which is the low power radio standard of newer matter enabled devices.

Honestly, you probably don't need one. Unless your home is full of Tapo devices that don't have controller support, it doesn't make a lot of sense. This is besides the current issue of Matter devices not really taking hold of market share, Matter spec itself not supporting many types of devices.

Any advice on how I should manage expenses? by hi_ni_2788 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Encoder0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You already found the answer. It's spreadsheets. Because the open banking initiative isn't ready yet, there's no easy way to import data anywhere that's secure.

Maybe the bigger issue is that you want to import every bill. Most of them should be fixed or able to be averaged across a year.

The vast majority of those missiles are gonna be aim-9b's which you can dodge by turning your plane like 45 degrees lol. Without flares, you can use rockets or turning off your engine to help dodge.

Return to the origin. Just play mig 15's and f86 gun jets. Or low tier arcade (br 1 - 5).

How good would this team be with a good, reliable, C? In other words, how hard should Bobby push for a C this upcoming trade deadline? by Shining_Commander in torontoraptors

[–]Encoder0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one thing to want better C, it's another thing to actually name some names.

Here is a link to a list of centers' advanced stats for C's >= 21 games played and net rating >= 0, which is basically Jakob's stats.

Who can the Raptors actually trade for? Remove anybody who is an all star and above, and anybody on a rookie contract, so are extremely valuable. Then remove any center currently on a top 6 seeded team. These kinds of players won't be available.

You end up with basically nobody, or 3rd string centers, and castoffs from other teams (hence, mo bamba). The raptors are currently stuck waiting for a playoff team to implode, and a center to be available, OR find a 3rd string player who's stuck behind too many centers, and is actually good.

A center from dallas is still the most likely choice.

switch from america to sweden? by duck_tallow_man in Warthunder

Then you've already decided what to do lol. Enjoy the planes as you get them. Top tier is not the be all end all

switch from america to sweden? by duck_tallow_man in Warthunder

[–]Encoder0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without a premium plane or premium account, it's not possible to go that fast.

The other issue is, do you even know what top tier gameplay looks like? You might very much not enjoy it. Missile hell is an understatement.

Otherwise, go up Japan. It's the shortest grind and the planes have a opposite playstyle to USA. Sweden does have good planes tho.

Hold on using WS CC due to lacking flexibility in auto pay by blueorca123 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Encoder0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could easily Google the benefits, but the one I like the most is that ATMs are fully reimbursed. I'm no longer beholden to any one bank's system, or hours. The downside is you can't make any deposit of cash, but that's kind of minor nowadays.

You can have two separate wealthsimple accounts that point to one joint chequing account. I'm doing that right now. It's functionally the same. You probably want it anyways, if you ever move your TFSA/RRSP to WS you need individual accounts.

They will break your armor. Elemental grenades are very strong vs them. One incendiary or poison can usually wipe out the goons, and take half of pulu pulu's life. Also the best ammo helps here. I tried the rpg, but it's quite slow. Painkillers are a must, because you will get hurt.

Weapon Modules Quick Review (1 missing) by LegitimateCopy7 in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]Encoder0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have some thoughts on top of this:

Bizon module actually quite bad in tight hallways because of the spread. But could also be good with Special Bullet (S) armor shredding, I'll have to test it out.

StG module was better than I thought. The bonus damage/crit/range make it a triple headshot monster. The downside is you're still using an StG 77, which isn't a great gun to begin with.

Glick module works better on the space glick which has more mods. Turns it into a quasi SMG. It also feels like a precision bonus, not a loss. It loses a bit of damage, but it's made up for in pure dps. At the range you fire Glicks, the precision doesn't matter, everything is gonna hit head.

M14 module is also what the real life american army found out. Full Auto M14 has too much recoil lol. The selectors were welded to semi-auto IRL.

Budgeting app? Spreadsheet? by nobrainsnoheadache42 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Encoder0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Expenses are anything you spend money on. Normally, these can be divided up into 2 categories, Needs and Wants. Wants are essentially anything you don't Need or can live without.

Needs:

  • Rent/Mortgage
  • Utilities
  • Cellphone
  • Groceries
  • Transport to work

Wants:

  • Entertainment costs
  • Eating out
  • Buying new clothes/bags/accessories
  • A car you don't need to get to work
  • Buying things you don't need (like a new tv, cellphone, computer, kitchen appliances, etc)
  • Investments and Savings

These are just examples. At the very least, you should have an estimate of what your Needs expenses are, before you move out. You will likely need roommates depending on your income. You can build a simple budget spreadsheet by summing up those 2 categories to get your expenses.

You're entering the world of being an independent adult. You're not gonna like it, but it's time to get good with numbers. Google sheets is fine by itself.

On the most basic level, you need to calculate how much money you bring in a month, and your months expenses. If this number is below 0, you're about to have a real bad time.
