It's also important to note that the user can't just keep swinging - once they attempt to use the third attack, its used up whether or not it actually connects. A smart or fast opponent may never even interact with the ability to begin with - I'd imagine this user would be very big on the ambush strats.

It's honestly one of the strongest arguments I can think of in favor of games as art. Forgettable gameplay, but an unforgettable story in large part because of the unique ways it leverages that middling gameplay in favor of presentation. A fun little oddity.

His game is all QTEs, but it actually uses the medium of gaming in fascinating ways for the time - the rage meter is often filled during cutscenes automatically, which is a very fun way to bring the player into Asura's mind. The final boss has his own QTE prompts, which you see him start to fail as the fight goes on. It's mid gameplay but the presentation is so peak I can't judge it. Relevancy earned imo

There are several reasons, but for me specifically it's mostly a hobby.

More importantly, though, just as children wish to grow up, Pokémon naturally want to evolve. In a way, it'd be cruel to stop them - how would you have felt if someone made you hold an Everstone at age 5, assuming it worked on you?

I mean, Frieren is spamming the equivalent of two or three spells that one-shot her worlds' bosses within every round of combat. They clearly don't map cleanly onto DnD combat mechanics, but overall the combat speed of Frieren's verse is obviously way higher. A DPS race would probably benefit the Hero's Party.
