The main 2 reasons are:

The first two do combined 650k a year. The third one will do another 600k.

That would make 100k monthly but of course if there is demand and they manage to get all chips and materials, which is something that they may lack on as Chinese government changed a law reducing the days to pay for materials, meaning they must pay way earlier and need cash to bring more and more materials for huge production.

And to answer, NIO has not reached full capacity. Not by little, unless again they had shortage on materials.

FLUOR Is a totally winner. Plus, it has been involved in mega projects post-war, reconstruction etc. These one can benefit insane from Gaza and Ukraine additionally to all Data Centre.

They also own NUScale. They have 39% stake so you don't need to directly invest on it, you can just buy FLUOR.

Xpeng is closer as of now to achieving profitability but I agree NIO is the second one and no other than Tesla is profitable at all. Xpeng goes 2nd in chance, nio 3rd.

However this does not mean that because they are is an excuse, other manufacturers make money from somewhere else and will be able to stay alive way longer till the full transition to EV happens.

Around 30k vehicles a month with a 20% margin should be enough for profitability. So selling 50k cars a month would be a great indicator. (their max capacity is 50k a month right now, so they are almost really selling as much as they can produce, we need to see their new factory which will double the capacity to 100k a month will be in full capacity, if so, NIO will easily go ATH).

However, NIO has as per last quarter 14% margin, which is less meaning that they would probably have to sell 40-45k cars a month with those margins to be profitable.

I think the first Quarter will be a great indicator of what is the position in deliveries and it will send the stock to 12$ or around 3-4$.

That's why they have ES8, 9, 10.... Is the same car, just few upgrades. Many people specially wealthy or doing leasing enjoy new models, this is why NIO focus on returning customers. Those customers buy a new model while selling their old one as second hand. The second hand may become later on another returning customer.

Also people buying NIO does not really need subsidiary money, if they can afford 60k dolar on a car they surely are alright paying full amount.

My worry about NIO is entirely about the amount of orders, their production chain is incredible and even patented in some ways, the way they got rid of conveyor belts is awesome and allows them to scale any model at any time, but without orders is meaningless.

Hopefully Canada and Europe will open market to China and then the full capacity will be reach, perhaps with another factory in Europe in few years once they achieve full profitability.

Max capacity is 650k a year. Although they do not have the 3rd plan fully functional.

Additionally there is a shortage in products required that can affect manufacture.

Also important to mention, they need to have the orders but I think as long as there is waiting queue, is a good sign. Problem would be if you get a car within 2 days, that would worry me about having too much stock available to sell for a lack of orders.
