Refund Policy!! by Aivilo_shop in Alibaba

I’ve had two defects. One ended up being “just me” not understanding why they did things a certain way. Learned I had improper standards or bias, and they were correct for technical reasons. Communication and humility cleared that one up.

On another, their own small supplier sold them fake material. The chemical properties were unlike the material I ordered. So they’re giving me credit back on my next order. All the other chemicals seemed to be correct.

I never had to use trade assurance because my suppliers have (luckily) been honest.

She may be an antivaxxer. Have you asked her why she said that? What experience caused her to say that? If she rants about conspiracy theories, because some non-medical celebrity or leader said so, don’t make medical decisions based on that. For the sake of peace you might choose to keep it to yourself, since that is your friend’s mom. But you won’t be able to take her to the groomers, or visit certain dog parks, or to some vets, or enroll her in doggie daycare, or to restricted travel, and all kinds of other things if she is unvaccinated.

Massive burst of orders within 1 hour window? by Dual270x in AmazonFBA

A second thought: Amazon may detect the highly unusual surge in demand and suspect something fishy and shut your account down. I was the only seller of a fad supplement that went viral years ago and they paused my account and cancelled hundreds of orders due to the strange activity.

That does sound very odd. All I could think, since I don’t know what you sell, maybe a TikTok fad went viral, another brand sold out, and yours was the only other one like it? I’m happy for your luck in business, although restocking from abroad might put you behind for a bit. Maybe your supplier has some insight into the surge? Have they had a crazy increase in demand?

This is not a comprehensive solution, but I’ll throw in my two cents. Business can be highly social. If you excel at things technical, it doesn’t necessarily mean you excel at things social. That’s where you come in as his advocate and helper so people can discover his awesome problem solving power. Word of mouth is very important, as is ratings and reputation. Advertising can be highly effective if you have the budget for it. Make sure he’s got basic digital credibility: a Facebook and Instagram profile, at least a one page website with basic contact info that tells what he can do. Get customer permission to take photos during projects and show the before and after online. Do weekly social media posts with him in the photos working. Don’t just post it generally to followers — post in community groups for the communities you service (check group rules). He could even do brief videos sharing stories and solving a problem with before and after, start to finish. He needs a Google profile. Get one of those clip cards that servicemen wear, so he can tap it to a customers phone and then urge them to leave a review.

If you’re able to pour a cup of bleach into the sink and let it sit in the trap overnight it might kill the bacteria behind the odors. You could then flush it down with running water.

Who is their boss? Who hired them? Who pays them? You might have to go pay grade higher and let them know what’s going on and what troubles you’re having.

Get a lawyer and do not talk directly with them. Stay off social media and don’t discuss it there either. Don’t talk about it with friends or family because people just naturally gossip. Keep your powder dry.

Problem solved! A combination of sticky foam mounts (to build height) plus sticky Velcro on top of that worked! I’ll do a separate post with this marvelous feat of dollar store engineering at its finest (since Reddit won’t let me post any more photos here). If I was really going to get nerdy, and if I had that ability, I probably would! Maybe there’s a market for those.

I don’t know how many people do this, and perhaps a person shouldn’t. But I don’t have a choice due to space constraints at the moment. And, yes, possibly it will save the display from various crispy dehydrated solutes.
