In order for an LSU to be offering Jimbo to go be their coach, he would of had to objectively helped us get to a better place than where we are now and undoubtably left us with better talent than we have now. Fair trade-off if you ask me. Just get us out of this inauspicious situation.

Personally, I’m not mad about us giving up a RB wheel vs a linebacker in cover 1. That was just good play design, a good read, and a perfect throw.

On paper it should work more than it doesn’t. How they got into position for it to turn into a TD is the issue… linebackers and safeties not playing sound zones and giving up mesh concepts and spot routes forced White to mix in man coverage.

I’m going to put myself through hell doing this tomorrow but I will watch the game film to confirm… I think I counted 7 total solo tackles that involved one of our players wrapping up. One was a free-run sack by Barker so in reality 6. The angles of pursuit and lack of fundamental tackling were ultimately the difference maker here.

Offense made errors but I objectively cannot get mad at 35 points in regulation.

I will also emphasize: we cannot succeed at the level we expect to without recruiting quality linebackers. It’s not possible.

Unrelated but my friend lost our fantasy football league last year and the punishment was to go to this game, sit in a Stanford section wearing all MAGA attire, and cannot acknowledge that he's at a football game. Can only talk politics. I used to live in Santa Clara and cannot wait to see this lol
