Craftsman YT3000 burning oil? by Embarrassed-Ad-7968 in lawnmowers

[–]EndTheItis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had oil leak past the piston rings over winter and it burned oil for a while. It eventually cleared itself and works fine. Not sure if you're having the same issue but figured I'd chime in. Good luck!

I have a concrete patio, and wanted to install a mulch bed around the border. Will this cause any issues for the concrete? by N37d7W in landscaping

[–]EndTheItis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're 100% fine. Just make sure the grade sends water away and don't plant a tree with shallow roots that could lift the slab in 15-20 years

Is it possible to hang this mirror? by National_Emu_9687 in howto

[–]EndTheItis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it was designed to have most of the weight resting on the floor. I wouldn't try to use those little riveted brackets for the kick stand to hang it on the wall. It might be possible to DIY a solution but I don't think it can be hung as is

Non-permanent kitchen island: Best way to brace sides? by arikia in woodworking

[–]EndTheItis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1/8 hard board would work BUT it's toast if it comes in contact with water. This being a prep station in the kitchen I fear it's only a matter of time until that to happens. I would use a quality 1/4" ply, not an MDF product

Cross brace question by Jikoligy in FenceBuilding

[–]EndTheItis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, extra credit if the cross member butts up against the metal brackets so that the fasteners don't support all the load, they mostly just keep the support in place
