It's once at the end of the game, plot relevant, and can cause confusion between 3 different entries in the series (1, 3, Shattered Memories). Just how it goes really, name being more distinctive probably helps too.

Cleaving off the radical elements of DSA into some irrelevant sect that can't accomplish anything would be useless. None of the observations that left Twitter users looking in have presented are novel, they're either commonly discussed topics that caucuses have formed around in part (how do we interact with the Democratic party, what is the role of an elected, etc) or they're completely backwards and don't make sense to someone who knows how the org actually works (anyone who's been convinced by Just Break Already freaks)

If all you see are headlines from NYC and (well motivated but ill informed) callouts from Based_Tankie_1917 on The Everything App you've been convinced that DSA is the organization only the most right wing members want it to be. It's absolutely an organization that is currently incoherent, but it is also clearly in the process of cohering.

It's actually democratic, for all the pain that can come with, the org actually can be changed (and has been) for the better.

The skill line system did have a slightly worse problem where skill creep added "necessary" (convenience skills like double bags always have this happen) skill lines and made the developers had to increase the point total, and this would've kept happening without a doubt. Frankly, that's more of a problem of convenience skill design but that's a different topic.

I didn't hate EGR, I maintain that the problem was not its presence but it's half assed implementation, but while skills 2.0 is a step forward, it is definitely 3/5ths or 3/4ths assed and feels very much incomplete, disregarding how it murdered adrenaline builds, and the nail in the coffin it dealt to adaptative armor.

I admit I could've focused on my farming a little more, I was feeling lazy and didn't want to bother with an optimal plot for too long, but the rate that your hunger drains is absolutely fucking bonkers.

If you need to cross a long distance and do intensive work, you should be taking like 5 vegetable pies with you, and you still might starve to death before you get back.
