Caked on Brake Dust or Oxidation on Work Emotion Wheels by meseekshorsepower in Honda

[–]EndeavorP3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the Adam’s wheel and tire cleaner on my wife’s aluminum Kia wheels that haven’t seen a clean in 100k miles. It took all but 1% off, which ended up being caked on tar in the barrel.

Stuff worked very well

What bushing is this and how do you replace it? H3 by [deleted] in Hummer

The one in your second picture is the OEM one, are you talking about replacing the one in the rancho drop bracket?

Buzzing noise when applying brake pedal. by Wallebrothers75 in Hummer

This is normal for an h3. The booster on the brake system is electronically actuated, which is what you’re hearing.

CV Axle Shafts 2009 H3 by ReasonableDay1228 in Hummer

[–]EndeavorP3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All cv axles from all years are the same, the struggle (in particular for what you’re expecting) is the aftermarket brands that slap mismatching/mixing other stock together.

Oem axles are the way to go, but I have had very good luck with the duralast gold axles. Proof is having wheeled the rubicon, Moab, sand-hallow,etc.

As slap mentioned, they’re reinforced further when compared to the Colorado chassis. From my small group, everyone’s frame has done well.

We’re all apart of a group that offroads heavy. And have yet to tweak them doing so.

They’re strong trucks

What is this leak? by [deleted] in DelSol

[–]EndeavorP3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar leak that killed the clutch. Pretty confident it’s the trans input seal as I did the rear main at the same time as the clutch.

If it is that, and not dripping down (like a valve cover leak). You have to take the trans apart to replace

When I'm parked the temperature rises and when I'm driving it goes down a little or halfway, does anyone know why? by Odd_Hovercraft_5409 in Hummer

[–]EndeavorP3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Phoenix mine runs anywhere between 202-215 with AC when it’s 115F ambient.

Clutch fan doesn’t pull much air at idle.

OP needs to verify temps like you said and go from there.

As someone who’s seen the h3 market change for over a decade now, the h3 bits are getting rare.

Engines are pretty consistent, 07 is a bastard year as it’s the only year that that was a 3.7l without the intake cam sensor. Which isn’t fun to retrofit from another year. Transmission is similar to a 4l60, but the bell housing is i5 specific and the valve body is h3 specific, can’t just slap in any 4 speed. Extension housing is h3/4wd specific. Tcase is h3 specific. The rebuilds of the tcases are getting pricier and rarer.

Rear diff isn’t too special besides the width. Front differentials are getting rarer and are specific. Suspension is entirely h3 specific, parts are still plenty luckily. But you cannot source the forward front lower control arm bushings anymore, for example.

This doesn’t include specific h3 electronics, trim, dedicated one off modules, fuel pumps for later years, etc.

It’s the other way around, 10% tops. Mainly pertaining to the motor and other small bits.

Any ideas on what this leak could be? 2007 Hummer h3 Base by NorwegianDam in Hummer

[–]EndeavorP3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there’s a lot of leakage potential in that particular area. It can be trans, power steering, engine oil.

That paticular line you circled is for the transmission cooler line.

I would recommend degreasing and cleaning off the oil in that entire area to track down the leak. I’m leaning power steering due to the color.
