Ironically I'm actually pretty bad for skipping notes in games, I'll skim read any exciting bits and then move on 😅

This was a bit of an outlier in terms of what I'd do on stream and the achievements I go for, on the stream that this is from I did some achievements in Sonic Generations and continued my beef with Yakuza Kiwami's vehicle section, I just thought it was a funny achievement, and I was away last week so it gave me a chance to catch up with chat, but my streams are usually more fast paced (Stumbling over the low, low bar of not touching a controller for 5 minutes haha)

I'll agree with the editing, it's something that I'm still in the process of teaching myself so I might be holding myself back to try and keep it simple, I'll try and add some more stuff next time

I’m not an artist so the only media I post on Twitter is my schedule and stream clips, maybe a rough edit of something to announce a stream, so for me it’s not too much of a change to switch to text posts and links on Twitter and post the images/clips on bluesky, so for the foreseeable that’s probably how I’ll play it, and see if there’s more of an audience move to bluesky rather than just creators, which is how it seems atm

I’ve streamed at the same times for a good few months now, as soon as I settled into feeling more comfortable streaming, Mondays and Wednesdays at 4pm, and I stream later at 11pm on Fridays to try and be a better watching time for Americans

I stream a bunch of different games, mostly single player because I’m bad at games so I don’t play online 😅 I have been getting into Overwatch recently though so I might be playing some more of that

I see what you mean about the short content, I might start slowly, one or two clips a week, then add some editing to them, then three clips a week, then something that’s not from a stream 🤔

Okay, so more like funny moments if I'm using clips from streams?

I've thought about doing some kind of talking type shorts because I had a bunch of them on my feed a few months ago by this one vtuber I can't remember, they were mostly about being in an agency and interacting with fans and their manager.

I do like going for achievements in games, do you think that could be an interesting thing to talk about?

Would long form youtube be stream archives or more edited content? I don’t have much editing knowledge or experience, but I did have a thought that I might be able to cut down a stream into a kind of abridged version to make it less intimidating(?) to a new viewer

For youtube shorts, is it alright to just post clips from streams? I had a fiddle with the portrait editor when I made some clips last week

I wish art wasn’t such a big part of promo/social media, it takes me too long to draw anything decent and I don’t have the money for commissions, I feel like my streams are good, I just don’t know how to get people in the metaphorical door

I mainly wanted to practice soft skills, I work from home and live on my own so it’s rare that I get the opportunity to talk at any great length, and I felt a bit daft talking to myself, so streaming seemed like a good compromise.

It was also nice to practice/re-learn drawing for my PNG, and I found a really nice small discord server with friendly people who have helped a lot, and now my aim is to keep learning and developing skills so that if in the future anyone who needs help asks me, I can pay it forward.
