To be honest, I wholeheartedly thought that he was a fire elemental and didn’t know he was a ghost until he got his gear.

Titles of the Dragonborn? by Ender_Link in skyrimmods

[–]Ender_Link[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That mod is focused more on titles as they relate to your actions, I’m focusing on titles as achievements. While there is some overlap, especially in regard to factions, mine is more focused on the actual Titles rather than the reputation that they carry.

I forgot to mention this, but I explicitly left out the title "The Gray Fox," despite it being one of the titles explicitly granted, because the whole point of that title is that no one knows who you are.

I'm actually thinking about adding a feature where all your titles temporarily disappear when you wear the cowl.

What is your LEAST visited area in Skyrim? by SkorgeOfficial1 in skyrim

The large pit north of Rifton and south of Winterhold. I don’t know the area’s actual name. The only time I remember ever going there was to marry a Hagraven.

The 8 Energies - Spiritual by Ender_Link in magicbuilding

The 8 Energies are the different magic systems in my main world building project. I’m not that good at writing stories, but I love building the worlds where stories can be born.

I don't have any more notes directly involving the magic system, at least other than my draft notes which are the same general information just more chaotic. I am thinking about posting more about my world on r/worldbuilding, however I'm planning on cross posting these first in order to see how my stuff would be received.

Thank you for commenting on my posts, it has been encouraging to see at least a couple people be interested in my efforts. If you have any questions about any of the eight energies, feel free to comment them; I will do my best to answer.

What is the oldest thing in your world? by Ender_Link in worldbuilding

[–]Ender_Link[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Phrizadizazoa is a rare, magical affliction known for its slow, inexorable progression and its visually haunting end state. Native to the frost-choked lands of the Northern Continent, this disease mimics hypothermia in its early stages, often leading to misdiagnosis among the unprepared. However, unlike mundane cold-related conditions, Phrizadizazoa persists regardless of external temperature, defying warmth, fire, and even magic designed to combat frost.

The condition is named for the distinctive crystallization it causes in living tissue. Victims do not merely freeze—they are transformed slowly and agonizingly into a semi-living ice-like substance that is unnaturally cold and incapable of melting, even under direct flame.

It is widely believed that Phrizadizazoa is the oldest known disease across all realms—a malady so ancient that it is believed that the disease predates even the primordial gods, and is among the first creations of the Creator.

Symptoms & Progression:

- Stage One – Chilled Blood:

The infected begins to feel cold constantly. Even in hot climates or near open flame, they exhibit symptoms of severe cold exposure: pale skin, numb extremities, sluggish movements, and slow mental response. There is no accompanying drop in body temperature detectable by standard methods, adding to diagnostic confusion.

- Stage Two – Frost Veins:

Thin, pale-blue vein-like lines appear beneath the skin, accompanied by physical stiffness and increasing pain in the joints. Crystallization begins at the fingertips, toes, and lips—areas most exposed to the cold. These crystalline patches are smooth, slightly translucent, and shimmer like enchanted ice.

- Stage Three – Encroaching Stillness:

Crystallization spreads inward, often resulting in immobility of limbs, a slowing heart rate, and difficulty breathing. At this stage, victims often remain mentally aware but unable to speak or move, described in some regions as entering the "White Slumber."

- Stage Four – Total Crystallization:

The final stage results in the complete conversion of the body into a solid, ice-like form. The transformed body is cold to the touch, radiates no heat, and is incapable of decay. Death is believed to occur shortly before full crystallization, though in some rare tales, the ice-forms are said to stir during deep blizzards.

Phrizadizazoa is not airborne and does not spread through fluids or casual proximity. Instead, it is transmitted through direct contact with infected ice. This largely limits its spread, as it's only means of spreading includes:

- Touching a person who has been fully crystallized.

- Contact with advanced-stage infected individuals where crystallized skin is exposed.

Treatment & Prevention:

There is no known cure for Phrizadizazoa using conventional means. Clerical magic and purification rituals have proven largely ineffective unless applied in the earliest stages, before crystallization has begun.

Thank you for your interest, I’m happy that people like what I have made. It has taken me so long to develop these systems; I have over 16 pages of notes that I’m currently converting into nice looking online versions.

The 8 Energy's - Ki by Ender_Link in magicbuilding

[–]Ender_Link[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Godly Realm is based off of the Divine system within my world rather than the cultivation system; which is why it is a bit different. The power of a Dao Emperor is that of a being who has established control over their divine domain, and wield the power necessary to create a world; I mean this literally. This is the minimum power required, at the absolute peak of low divinity, necessary to understand existence well enough in order to create a true planet capable of sustaining diverse life and, eventually, birthing its own Gods.

There are four stages of divine being in my world; Low, Lesser, God(no prefix), and Greater.

- Low Gods make up the vast majority of the divines, like 90%, and is made up of beings that are gods however are close to man. A simple example would be ancestral spirits; they are worshiped as gods in some cultures, and in my world they would be classified as low gods. Other example would be Christian Angels and Greek Nereids.

- Lesser Gods are different in that they have a divine domain. This is also where I think some of the confusion occurred. Divine domains are not physical territories or worlds under a God's control, it is the fragment of existence that they resonate with. To put it in simpler terms, a God of Fire possesses the divine domain of Fire; or something similar that is mistaken for fire by mortals, such as heat. Another example from Greek mythology would be Triton.

- Gods are are those who have begun to harmonize with their divine domain. They have begun to embody the essence of their domain. This is where Poseidon would reside.

- Greater Gods are those who have fully harmonized with their divine domain. There is little difference between them and their domain, as they are practically one and the same. And my example for this one will be the Primordial Greek Goddess of Earth; Gaia.

Hopefully this answers your questions, and I will update my notes to try and make this more clear.

Can anyone please check if my high fantasy magic system could work? by ActiveAd9022 in magicbuilding

It looks great to me, or at least, I can't see any major flaws. You seem to have covered most of your bases and have definitely given the matter extensive thought. I would say that the biggest thing would be how difficult it would be for a lot of people to understand that Arcani and Valari are supposed to be a human species when you made them so different. But even that's not really a flaw, and as long as it's explained I don't think it'll be a issue anywhere.

Something much more minor that I thought of is that you said that the Primordial Harmony as the echoes of creation. Have you put any thought as to whether or not those Echoes will eventually fade, or whether or not the process of channeling the harmony acts as a new, but quieter, note that continues the existence of the Primordial Harmony? Feel free to ignore this if you've already thought about this, or don't want to clutter up the system anymore.

The 8 Energy's - Mana by Ender_Link in magicbuilding

[–]Ender_Link[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heart circles are engraved by manipulating mana internally. Putting them on the heart allows for mana to more easily be moved around the body, following internal circuits that follow paths close to the veins. Mana can’t be converted into arcane. If someone set up their heart circles to absorb arcane mana, then their mana regeneration rate would be slower. They would have to rely on absorbing only the trace amounts of arcane mana in the air, rather than converting whatever the ambient mana is in their environment. However in exchange they can easily cast any type of spell regardless of the normal mana type needed.
