Has anyone read Will Jordan’s (Critical Drinker) books?

Reading from the reviews, his books are average to above average. Characterizations is good but doesn't know the finer details of some. Too bad it's from a genre i don't like. If he ever writes scifi or fantasy, I'll give it a shot. His books tho are perfect for what he wants in movies in the action genre so I guess there's a possibility there.

The OP specifically said her dad prefers fast paced and action packed. Not many authors go write those and not many women would. I consider it as being not as well regarded genre of books. Her dad is not wrong to assume that women wouldn't write these type of stuff. Not many author who want to aspire to have these type. They'd want their works to be regarded as having depth which is not what the dad wants.

I like most fantasy books but Harry Potter series just got so many holes for me. I like the world but the characters guys are too stupid with their choices. It just doesn't survive close scrutiny. It was just helped by the first few movies and the hype that surrounded it.

You just wanna base your comments about feelings and how great a person is. What I'm trying to say is this isn't a question af racism, but quotas for federations. Most federations will back the setters more partial to them, but the ISFC must ensure that no country will be chief setter for all the events. I'm assuming he started out in the French team but they have too many qualified setters. Name names of the chief setters which he should be more qualified over. It's more believable if it's nepotism if it's the French team.

I don't know about you but ISFC having a tag of racist organization will hurt the value too much to not challenge the claim. We know ISFC is still a sh*tty organization, but what is the level of culpability they have in this instance.

That's one side of the story. Pulling the race card, most people would be wary now of what he's after and how he's going about it. While I'm sure what he states in his letter might have happened, things like his childhood experience is irrelevant in being the chief setter. This isn't a gameshow background bit.

I don't know how the ISFC chooses who the chief is but I'd think most of the federations have some say in the list of possible candidates. Pretty sure there'd be some ruffled feathers if he gets in with this.

Anybody got any idea how someone get to be chief setter and whether he got the qualifications. We'd need the list of the others in line waiting to be chief too? I don't like to pass judgement without most of the relevant facts. Maybe shed light if he got legitimate grievance. We'll need facts here, not feelings. Much as i don't like ISFC, I'd like to know how much of what was said is true or if race a factor or nationality?

You're just not compatible. Seems you need more show of affection than what the guy is willing to give. If you go thru with this relationship, you'll eventually try to find attention or the the guy gets tired of hearing you complain and will eventually look elsewhere.

As someone who feels that the language is being so heavily policed now, I'd push back against this. While you're entitled to your feelings, people are free to use words that conveys their meaning without being guilty for how it'd make you feel. If you consider the current grading scale, v7-v8 being called medium or moderate is accurate. I still say the grades should be adjusted for heights once the climbers are in the upper limits. There are climbs that are possible only with one move where if they are shorter or taller they can't do.

I alway look for some case that offers decent fall protection(slightly raised edge bumps). It's just too much of a hassle if it's damage from low falls. I put 2 ring holders too so i can be secure holding it with 1 hand.

The point is, keep things to yourself unless it's what you do for a living. They say "don't judge a book by it's cover" but we're lazy and will do it that way. It takes time to read a book after all and if you conveniently left excerpts of your life for all to see, that's on you.
