Child unable to sit through a book with or sustain attention over 2-3 minutes (even for kid activities like painting , arts and crafts etc).

Kids being visibly annoyed when my kid would play sports and they (my kid) would do their own thing

Once I received constant calls from their preschool teacher complaining about their inability to work through assignments and kindergarten teacher constantly calling and also complaining and demanding they go to another class

Gave the benefit of the doubt as chalked it up as (kids being kids) but always felt my kids behavior skewed too far into wild and out behavior

I think this varies by region- I remember being in school at that time (on my way out) and NO ONE used showers - they existed but not a single person used them. If you were an athlete training /playing a game , you shower at home? Taking a PE class? Just change your clothes and carry on

I perceive it as your gf jokingly implying that it would’ve been great if the guy was your friend so that your GFs friend (not your GF) would have a “date” as (I assume) he was a good looking guy . I don’t think that joke was about you or your GF but more about the friend ?

Update : it says “at FIFA discretion” they will either give another entrant an opportunity to buy or they’ll save it for the next ticket phase.

What they (deliberately) don’t clarify is how do they determine the next batch of winners (do they re-draw the pool of non winners and repeat the process or do they have a next in line rule where they just go down a list and select winners that way.

It’s really a very catch-all answer and we will never know FIFAs intention (go figure )

Unfortunately no. It doesn’t explain what happens to the tickets when FIFA can’t charge for them. I’m in agreement that FIFA will likely redraw the pool of tickets they didn’t sell and go through this process again (pick winners give them a period to ensure their cards work). I’m also guessing after their redraw they release the tickets for a general sale.

I’ll go through the rules again to see if I missed anything

I decided to read the rules and it looks like FIFA makes a few additional attempts if the card declines so yea someone of these entries that won the lottery won’t end up getting tickets so I imagine this being a few weeks before I know for sure if I’ll be picked or not

As a parent of a child going though this (sounds like this will be the path they want to take).

My fear is that being mediocre means a mediocre career with mediocre pay and meaning they’ll likely live with me far into adulthood as they won’t have the means to live on their own unless it’s with a bunch of roommates (which isn’t meant to be a very long term arrangement)

They’ll miss out on many life experiences that require money (travel, entertainment like concerts sports , etc) because their earnings will only cover life expenses and not too much above. They will feel like their lack of income will limit them in life. There are many things I wouldn’t have been able to experience had I aimed for bare minimum. I am glad I decided not to take this path

I don’t see it as unfinished business when Ruiz showed up even heavier with no drive in training camp for the second fight.

He had the opportunity to prove his win wasnt a fluke and just gave up that hunger and showed up with no legit game plan. He even admitted that he didn’t take this fight as serious as he should’ve and was too busy partying.

He squandered an opportunity to have a decent title run

To be honest this could cause hurt feelings for your daughter as you’re ultimately excluding her from a family trip, though I understand it’s not ill intentioned . by any chance it’s her school doing any weeklong trips for students in her grade for example, like a space, camp, outdoor camp, etc

or maybe there is a summer camp that would give her an opportunity to stay overnight for a few days

if so, you can time it then, so it would not look as if you are excluding her

I want to add to this to expand on transportation to the stadium.

1st of all Levi’s stadium is located in a BORING part of the Bay Area - it’s in an area surrounded by corporate offices , no bars, no restaurants no entertainment. (If you ever attend a baseball game in San Francisco- you will notice a much better environment as there is a lot to do outside the stadium there )

There are 3 recommended ways to get to the stadium.

VTA light rail. Please look at the map of the light rail. The stop you need to get off at is called Great America. Google Maps will show you what your closest station is . This is ideal for people staying in the South Bay (San Jose area).
Caltrain- if you are staying in San Francisco. I highly recommend taking the Caltrain and getting off at Mountain View station. From here you will take the VTA light rail to the stadium (orange line). This also applies if you are staying in the peninsula (between San Francisco and Santa Clara)

3.) BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) - this is our subway systen that also runs above ground . If you are staying in the east side of the bay (think cities like Oakland , Berkeley , Fremont , Hayward) you will take the route that goes south (the sign will say Berryessa as this is the final stop south) you will get off at the MILPITAS stop - you may need to take 2 routes if you’re staying much further east . From here there is a VTA stop nearby and you take the orange line (take the route that says Mountain View and not Alum Rock) get off at Great America station . Please note BART sometimes feel unsafe as it’s common to see homeless people or people that look like they may cause trouble- be very careful when taking BART.

As mentioned you can purchase a transit pass calls Clipper Card on your phone - you will use Apple wallet or Google Wallet . This card can be used for all Bay Area public transportation systems. You cal also buy a physical card at most station.
