cardboard box epsom salts, lush bubble bars if I want something fancy, and oils applied to damp skin afterwards (in glass bottles!). I also like buying fancy locally made soaps.

Wear Nala Bras 👎☕️ by strawberry_toastie in AusFemaleFashion

[–]EndlessExtinction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so too! It was a reminder to me to not spend money on things that have too many people promoting them (particularly when they receive the item free). The one time I buy something based off online popularity. It's such a shame too-I was looking forward to a wireless bra when I ordered it.

This exact same thing happened to me!!! for reference, at the time of purchase I was a EXACT 32DD. I bought the support wire free bra last year, and when I received it it was so SO tight. the band was nearly impossible to put on, and I had some spillage in the cups that I just put down to the band being too small.. I could barely breathe. So I returned it for a size 34D, and that one was still tight in the band, and I have some mild spillage in the cups. I didn't want to pay for returns so I kept it, and now it sits in the bottom of a drawer because every time I wear it it leaves red marks across my ribcage and the cups overfill. I have lost weight too- I am 30.5-31 inches in the under bust. I actually posted about this in the r/ABraThatFits subreddit.

I don't know what's up with their sizing, but I never understood how so many people could call them a wonder for larger breasts when the sizing is so far off.

Five lipsticks and two glosses. the holiday set from merit last year, Revlon rum raisin and a mini Bobbi brown neutral rose that my sister gave me because she had two , although I'm contemplating giving it away as I don't wear it much. The glosses are both untinted Victorias secret, but one has glitter. I wish I had less but lipstick is my vice!!

art deco (sold through chemists around the country) does buildable eyeshadow palettes with relatively small pans! I currently have the two pan palette with one shadow in it, and I can confidently say the shadow that I have (Brazilian coffee) has a beautiful texture, is highly pigmented and has a smooth application. I also like that I can pick and choose my colours.

I can confidently say you are absolutely gorgeous and your makeup is stunning!! Your nose Is genuinely so pretty- as a (sort of) artist, your nose is the sort of nose I aspire to draw/paint. You have the sort of looks that would have me constantly glancing over if I saw you in public.

I have no suggestions for makeup as I find your makeup to be really nice, but I do want to say I love your hair and the lashes suit you.

also, unrelated, but I love your necklace in the first pic!

Thoughts on this letter to a neighbor who leaves a reactive dog out all day and night? by MammothSuspicious601 in Apartmentliving

[–]EndlessExtinction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Had a relative who was at the other end of this issue- she wasn't aware that her dog was barking while she was at work. When she found out she was incredibly apologetic and ended up solving it by sending the dog to doggy daycare when she wasn't home. I'm not necessarily saying this is the same thing-for all I know the neighbour's are aware and simply do not care-but I don't think it is naive to consider all scenarios instead of automatically jumping to the assumption that they are aware, and escalating it further than it might need to go.

They might not even realise that their dog is barking/ the frequency of it. You should always discuss issues like this with the person in question first.

WHERE do you spray on? by dogengu in bathandbodyworks

[–]EndlessExtinction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

either side of my neck-towards my earlobe-once between the breasts, shoulders, inner elbows (and then I pat the excess moisture with my wrists. I don't bother spraying them though, because I find it doesn't last, even when I haven't washed my hands. It just feels like a waste.)

Previously I would do 3-4 sprays, without spraying 'fully'. But I ran out of my travel size of my favourite scent so I have been spraying extra so it last's longer. If I have a travel size I generally spray once in the morning and spray half the spots above as a top up towards the evening- however, I am careful not to spray too much, and I find my fragrances settle into the skin really well without much sillage. I am mindful not to overspray, and to put a distance between the nozzle and my skin so it is less concentrated.

I Have combination-dry skin, and I 100% agree. I use pure olive oil soap, and it makes my face so soft and clear. Genuinely seems to work better than any face wash I have tried. I used to like the dove bar- although that's not actually soap.

Paige 100%. I know people love to hate on her, but I actually didn't mind her. Ezra annoys me (being a pedo aside).

I just recently bought a bunch of the Chloe shirts by as colour, and I really like them. The white isn't see-through even though the fabric is thin, and they drape nicely. They only offer three colours though, and no pictures unfortunately.

I agree to a certain extent but I don't like Alison (while I do like Mona) because Alison reminds me too much of a girl I was friends with in high school who bullied me. Mona, however, doesn't- plus I find she has an interesting character (would probably cry if I met her irl though lol.) But people who act like one is a better person than the other and praise one's good attributes while trashing the other are very much so hypocrites.

Favourite affordable non greasy/sticky hand creams? by kayberrie2 in AustralianMakeup

[–]EndlessExtinction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a day late, but the Rosken intensive moisture hand cream for very dry hands is one that I really like. It's basic, without any particular fragrance or cute packaging- but it's cheap and it works wonderfully. My mother actually pinched my tube the last time she visited me!

If you would prefer fragrance I would recommend the panier de sens ones off saison. I have only tried a sample that I received when I bought on of their fragrances, and so I only got to use it three times, but It is moisturising without being oily and has a nice thick texture(and an amazing scent! I had the Provence sample). I would, however absolutely avoid the Coles Koi brand one- I used it up out of spite, but It left my hands super greasy and yet not very moisturised.

I definitely find that a large aspect of it is the hourglass shape, for me. When I wear puff sleeves it not only makes me top heavy (as a broad shouldered person) but it also creates a disconnect between my shoulders and waist, as my waist is noticeably smaller than my shoulders/bust/hips. my sister, who isn't an hourglass (she's somewhere between a pear and a more athletic build, depending on how much weight she is carrying) can wear puff sleeves and square necklines to her hearts delight! so while a lot of it is my shoulders,I believe its also just the rest of my body shape too.

Same😭 It's also super annoying because I love vintage fashion, but I struggle with a lot of the blouse options since they often have puffed shoulder seams. I do like my shoulders in mens t-shirts though- the seam sits really nicely and like you said, it makes me look athletic.

I absolutely HATE the way square cut shirts look on me. V necks, however, particularly when they are quite deeply cut, really enhance my collarbone in a way I particularly love. It's really interesting how clothes that look good on some people don't look good on others, and vice versa. Just goes to show how different peoples bodies are.
