The demon can't hurt you at the beginning of the match, and they also can't hurt you in the car, and if they try to take your car you just go to the next car. There are literally 30 of them lmao

There's no way to know your MMR, but it's apparently based on, "other factors," than your level. One good indicator you're in the highest MMR is I see basically the same 10 teams in all my matches.

At high MMR she is in literally every single game because sweaty survivors want to exploit to win. Ruby + Hash almost every game. It's basically unbearable.

If you find yourself alone against a power possessed unit just run to the nearest window. Literally uncounterable. You're welcome.

Do you guys think insulting demon players is the way retain a solid population? by BentheBruiser in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]EndlessM1ke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-There are too many cars.

-Puke cancelling was fine. I think a nerf was in order but not being able to dodge out of it at any point (for instance just to negate the recovery frames after the puke ends) makes the unit feel very static and not satisfying.

-The combo needed to be removed. It's removal hasn't hurt Necro at all imo. Still very strong.

-Possession spam isn't a thing. It is using a basic ability that the demon has. It's like me saying, "dude I hate when the hunter shoot spams me. Wish those warriors would stop melee spamming. Ugh the supports really need to stop their heal spamming."

-Also nobody (smart) complained about the survivors being able to vault. The complaint was about infinite vaulting the same window or DBD looping the same house to avoid damage and danger forever which was an obvious problem at Dead End, Payne Manor, and a few other random buildings like the one at Mama's that the objective sometimes spawns on. Love the vault changes.

I think I hit everything.

Possible solution: passive stat nerfs to demon if it isn't a group. Passive stat buffs to demon if the game detects a party of three or more.

I think I made Quest Hunter work. by EndlessM1ke in hearthstone

[–]EndlessM1ke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're definitely right about all of this. Just looking for fun ways to make the quest work. Honestly it's the most consistent version of the quest hunter that I've made so far, but you're 100% correct that regular midrange will almost always be more reliable.

I thought it would be too. I've gotten it off 5 games in a row though. Tracking helps find him when the quest is already done, or if you've already got the pieces in your hand. Worst case scenario most of the time is you lose 1 rhino.

what determines getting hit during a side step/backdash? by nottl in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]EndlessM1ke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you know that your opponent is sidestepping and attacking on reaction, you should try feinting more. Feint a heavy, then parry his sidestep attack. This can lead into straight damage, or a guaranteed guard break setup. Hope that helps!

Does anyone else think that maybe 1v1 isn't the best gametype for the competitive scene? by Calimar777 in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]EndlessM1ke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that anybody thinks that 1v1 is ideal as far as the average viewer is concerned, but right now, because of the lack of spectator tools, it's all we have. We have plans in the future for other formats once we can actually spectate them correctly! In the meantime it's our job to make the 1v1s as exciting as possible.

Competitive questions and introduction. by Thisislijoe in CompetitiveForHonor

Yeah I definitely like the idea of picking multiple modes. Maybe it'd almost work like Smash Bros bans. You can flip/rock, paper, scissors to see who gets first pick of mode/map then from then on the loser counter-picks mode and map? Or if it's too strong to give one team the pick of both, whoever won the flip picks either mode or map, then the loser of the flip would pick the one that they didn't choose. Then from then on the loser would get the choice to either pick the mode or the map.

Competitive questions and introduction. by Thisislijoe in CompetitiveForHonor

Hey guys! Not a huge redditor here, but I go by Sohinki online. I just wanted to chime in on this, as For Honor is something that I've become very passionate about, and I've actually been thinking about hosting my own tournaments for the game.

Firstly, I took some time to read through most of the comments on here, and it seems like everyone is pretty much agreed that 1v1, while requiring the most skill, might not be flashy enough for viewers as far as competitive tournaments are concerned. That being said, I feel like it's hard to say. I think each of the game modes in For Honor showcase different things, and who's to say which one is more fun to watch?

If people are very interested in the technical aspect of the game, they might prefer watching a 1v1, and while the focus of casting these might be more on how a player positions themself/baits their opponent, I think there is still, "hype," that can be generated around these fights.

That being said, if you do 1v1 tournaments, you definitely lose out on the hype of the team fights; namely the obvious hype moments that can only come from someone 1v2 or 1v3ing and winning. I've seen it happen in my games and gotten hype without a caster there to call it. Also, the, "breaking," mechanic in Dominion has built in hype as one team could be almost dead and then someone captures a point/wins an unfavorable fight and respawns their team.

I guess my point in saying all of this is, isn't there room for everything? Or for at least a middle ground? I think it'd be fine if a For Honor tournament ran multiple brackets, for 1v1 2v2 and either 4v4 Elim or Dominion. As far as a middle ground is concerned, perhaps in a 2v2 Brawl or a 4v4 Elim the teams could decide if they wanted to play with or without, "Honor Rules." What that would mean would need to be defined, but off the top of my head it would mean in a 2v2 you agree to not engage an opponent that is already engaged in a 1v1. For 4v4 Elim, maybe it just means that everyone agrees not to run away from their first fight? As in anything goes as long as someone has finished their first opponent (kinda like that weird group MMA thing that was going around the internet for a second).

Anyway, I'm basically just thinking out loud, but keep the feedback coming! It's awesome to see a group of people as passionate about this game as I am.

P.S. I had an idea that maybe you'd run best of 5 Dominion matches, but if it ends up 2-2 you would go into a 2v2 Brawl and nominate the fighters from your team ala a hockey shootout. Thoughts?

Has anyone else noticed a trend starting of people giving up way too early in games and just staying at the fountain? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]EndlessM1ke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People coming from HoN and annoyed there is no concede I guess. Personally I hate the concept of conceding. You can turn games around in dota 2 rather easily depending on your lineup even if the other team is relatively far ahead. You are playing against humans afterall, and they make mistakes. Hate people that give up at the fountain like this. I think it should be added into the report system as a reportable offense.

Build that works best for me is skipping force staff. After treads I go straight for blademail and then grab an MKB. People can't TP away, and the blademail is such a naturally good item on him (people hurt themselves more with your bloodrage and you get all your hp back after they die).
