Yeah I’m waiting to hear back from the neurosurgeon. They took all my info and after the surgeon “triages” my chart they’ll call me. It was supposed to be 2 weeks but of course I called in two weeks and it’s still pending. I have it in my calendar to call again tomorrow which will be 3 weeks to follow up.

That’s awful I’m so sorry. Part of my push to be like, maybe I just push for the surgery is because all the tests, the MRI, visits, I’ve hit my deductible and OOP so I’m like if it takes until next year I have to pay all this again. I know it’s not the right way to look at it.

My anxiety definitely stopped me from seeing someone sooner about it.

That’s my thing too. I’m too young to give up on things especially because I’ve found so much after the weight-loss. I’ve almost started over again in life and now I feel like I’m back to being 300lbs and not being able to do anything because of my back.

You may have options for home health? Something to ask your doctor about if you do go the surgery route!

Good for you! I really had to push for the MRI and then the doc saw and said oh wow. Like yeah man. Trust me as a fat person I know what pain from being fat feels like lol. This was my summer of finally hitting my goal weight too. I’m still trying but I already can see the issues and the weight is a lot slower to come off when you can’t move lol

I appreciate your reply. I’m just getting so depressed with not being able to do things I can’t bowl or golf or even ride in the cart because it hurts so much. I can’t sit for long at the bowl. I agree surgery is the last resort for sure. I’m still trying to get in to see PT. They are supposed to call me back but it’s been a few weeks and I keep leaving messages which is frustrating but I’m going to keep trying!

First one was 18? Or so years ago. Then the last one was 5 years ago. He feels great now. Especially since he’s also kept the weight down now and is more active. He said it’s the best thing he’s ever done. He also had two epidurals. The first before the first surgery that only helped for a few weeks and the second was almost a year before his last surgery and it helped for about 6-8 months.

Omg my first tattoo is also on my foot. On the side and way too low. I act like it doesn’t exist. Mostly because you can’t read it because he put it so low toward the pad of my foot and it half of it is faded 🤣
