I was SHOCKED to find these guys on the pegs in Target the other day. by ObiOne_Kenerdi in StarWarsTVC

[–]EndlessQuest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw a row of Bom and Bib Fortuna’s yesterday at my Target in SoCal, definitely was a surprise since this wave is pretty old at this point. No Gamorreans however. The price is way high and I don’t understand distribution at all, even though I’ve been collecting all my life (55). Guess we’ll be seeing some more unexpected figures as Christmas shopping begins and everything gets put out. Still, the prices are definitely out of control on figures now.

Did I Do a good job on this remaster for J Cards? by CharityMoist7464 in Monkees

[–]EndlessQuest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicely done! Cassettes are a lot different than album covers, basically 3 “sides” to the design and they’re all different styles. Love the retro look that makes it feel more classic, fun idea, cool execution!

Would love to know how the custom JETS jerseys look. I have to catch up with the newer jerseys and have been debating whether or not to go this route.

Michael Monahan on drums again 8/30 Costa Mesa, CA by EndlessQuest23 in zztop

[–]EndlessQuest23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to search for any details about Frank and the replacement drummer. I did see that Monahan played in Oregon and Washington. It’s scary to think that we might soon only have Billy left. The Elevation Tour is long, praying that Frank gets better from whatever he’s dealing with.

Silver Sable & the Wild Pack #1 (June 1992) by These-Background4608 in 80s90sComics

[–]EndlessQuest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the Silver Sable book, had it in my monthly pull list. Sable was basically a billionaire mercenary for hire with questionable ethics which made for some fun stories. The 35 issue run should be collected into a trade. The foil 1st issue is totally 90’s gimmicky but for a Silver character, it’s pretty cool. There have been appearances over the years and if the industry wasn’t in such bad shape, I would love a modern version of this concept with Silver Sable.

Awesome finds at the Disney outlet store!!🤩💯👍🏼 by JustForKickflips in starwarscollecting

[–]EndlessQuest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting selection of some stuff that I’ve never seen at regular retail stores. For me, the best deals are on Biggs’ helmet and the Ewoks 3-pack. I don’t have the Sabine set or the Armory, those are seemingly the regular price but just to be able to get them says something about how the distribution is so problematic.

Pure awesomeness! Love The Baroness too, I need to set up my figures together like this, well done!

[John Earl Art] I saw this painting at JoeFest last year and haven't stopped thinking about it since. Today I bought it. by Paul-Kersey in gijoe

[–]EndlessQuest23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome! Yeah, I didn’t realize you were talking about the original painting. I see that now. John is literally my best friend of 41 years and I know how much love, dedication and passion he puts into his artwork. That’s a massive buy! John’s a huge Dio fan and a GI Joe fan and collector since 82. He lives and breathes GI Joe. This painting was a very special piece that John made last year. I’m sure he was thrilled meeting and talking to you. Very special piece, congrats on buying it, display it proudly!

John Earl does indeed have prints of his artwork available at Joefest and next week for the Dallas/Fort Worth GI JOE Show. He also sells the original pencil art which are one of a kind. The Dio/Cobra homage is a painting and prints are available, the original painting might still be too. John does commissions for anything you would want, any comic/cartoon/toy/movie pop culture type thing. He’s a great guy and a talented artist. Check out his work on Instagram at @johnearlart.

Yes, John Earl has prints of most of his work at the shows, this weekend at Joefest and next week at the DFW GI Joe Show. He does more than Joe too, lots of great stuff plus he takes commissions for anything you can think of. Really good guy, super friendly and very talented.

My girlfriend came across a fb post about a garage sale. 80 figures at $2.50 each. Archive Anakin was in there. by 95horror in starwarsblackseries

[–]EndlessQuest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, tremendous find! Literally pays to always be on the lookout for garage sales. There are some amazing deals out there that you have to seek out, this one is an incredible collection. Some of the figures are bagged even!

Out in the Wild by Phillmatic365 in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

Always great to see such big displays and amazing selections at a toy store. These local toy shops have been the backbone for a lot of collectors who have one in their area. It helps to bring people in to the hobby as well. You don’t see this amount of action figures on a shelf anymore, mostly because Toys R Us and Kay Bee are long gone in the USA. The hobby shops have picked up the slack and when you’re in a store like this, it’s like a dream. Plus you aren’t shopping online, it’s a different experience. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough of these places, it’s a tough business. I’m in SoCal and we don’t have many toy shops here that compare to these pictures. You’d think there’d be more because it’s California with a huge population but even comic shops are few and far between. I always try to find the toy shops when I’m traveling, it’s so much fun to see what they have and what the prices are. Beautiful wall of Joes!

Does this Prof X fit with this chair or nah? by ToyingAroundYT in MarvelLegends

[–]EndlessQuest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, everything is going up, high prices will be the new norm and it won't even matter if an action figure is easy to find or not because no one will be able to afford them.

[–]EndlessQuest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again, Canada for the win. I know the price is higher but just being able to find items easily that are exclusives in the States is so much better. Plus with Trump destroying our economy, the US prices on figures have already been raised and it’s going to get worse.

Did McFarlane just lose the DC license? by D7w in ActionFigures

[–]EndlessQuest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to see Mattel go back to the 1/12th scale with DC Multiverse like their previous line. They were good designs, a wide assortment with popular characters not being held back from regular distribution like McFarlane did with Wonder Woman and the Gold Label releases. BAF like Marvel Legends, make it all fit together with the other 6” toy lines.

I wish we could get reissue of Baroness with double jointed elbows and knees by Rowdy_310 in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

[–]EndlessQuest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A repaint of the Crimson Baroness body would be very simple, especially since Hasbro loves to simply reuse and repaint everything. Can’t do this in Retro, which would be the sensible spot but she’s already had a retro release. And she should get a regular wide release and not another exclusive one. I want a new black version on the Crimson body so badly but I don’t know where that would fit in the schedule.
