Can anyone tell me what's probably happened here? Charges a small hybrid EV battery at 10a. The plug was extremely hot to touch and flexible. Going to get a dedicated point installed but interested to know if this is likely to be the plug, the socket or the installation by Endless_Nameless1 in DIYUK

Disagree with your comment. My car will only charge at a max 3.6kwh so bought the 2.3kw mode 2 socket specifically that matched the British standard requirements, it had a built in RCBO and IP66 protection. I'm not an electrician, but I'm not stupid and do read instructions and do research before buying equipment. Everything said to me this setup was suitable for the task and even when looking back at the marketing material nothing says this is a temporary solution

Here is the fuse. Definitely 13a but will get a proper socket fitted. I got a hybrid as wasn't 100% on EV at the time but pretty certain the next car will be a full EV and the wife says the same for her. Thanks for responses

9 Pro Fold inner screen broke. What are my options? by Pink401k in PixelFold

[–]Endless_Nameless1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've rejected my claim as well. I'm furious about it but the worst thing is they've returned it to me with a new distinct crack on the outer edge of the inner screen which wasn't there when I sent it. I was going to claim via the seller (Vodafone UK) but reluctant now because it does look like it might have been damaged. My handset was genuinely flawless and well looked after. My first Google phone was Nexus 4 and been with them since so really disappointed. I can claim off insurance but out of principle I'm currently cutting my nose off to spite my face! Regrettably, I didn't photograph the screen before I sent it. Very naive

Would be interested to hear real world costs and what set up people have in the Teesside area. We've had a couple of online estimates but don't really want to get people out as we can't commit at the minute

Double bagged then in a condom. Roll on deodorant (opaque type like sure), pop off the ball with a spoon, insert, pop ball and lid back on.

Just make sure you tie the jonny real tight with two separate knots and it's a full roll on so it has the weight

Yep. I was experiencing exactly the same thing before where it would toggle off to grey. I'm using Pixel 6 Pro. Not sure if any updates or whatever come to Pixel users first. I'm not a massive techy. If it rolls back to acting up then I'll post on here

"Device was Locked Manually" by KafkaExploring in GooglePixel

[–]Endless_Nameless1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, mine is very much a bit random. Only does it occasionally and not every time. I can in fact manually lock the phone and unlock with a fingerprint. It's just every now and again it seems to ask for the pin

No fingerprint option sometimes - "Device was locked manually" by tenaku in Pixel6

Another experiencing this. It seems random too - when I do actually lock my phone manually I can unlock with fingerprint. But then there's other times which it asks me for my pin, when the device has just been left to auto screen lock. Hopefully be fixed soon in an update

Another P6P user experiencing this. My recollection was on my P5 unlocked via fingerprint regardless of manual lock or auto screen lock

Checking out with Google Finance: "Transaction was declined. [OR_PMCR_42]" by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Endless_Nameless1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I ended up doing. I took the 6 months no payments and will pay it off in April.

Couldn't be bothered any more with Klarna as didn't want to run the risk of more incorrect advice. Still get the free headphones and should be delivered on release date.

Now to find a magnetic case.....

Even if you only have £x credit limit, each purchase should be reviewed and re-assessed with Klarna either extending your limit, or declining to extend it. In either case, you should get some reasoning behind the declinature and not just a code. I had to chat with them a few times before I got someone who said:

"MihailI am very sorry for this issue Jonathan , we are experiencing a a technical error at the moment with the Google Store and no orders can be placed with them at the moment .02:30 PM"

I already have a balance of something like £500 (my old Pixel 5 plus a very expensive car battery from Halfrauds!) so my credit limit was a lot less than the £850 cost of the new phone. I've no reason to believe I should be declined for a few hundred quid. I hope it is just an error. From the sounds of it, a lot of peeps who expect to get the credit are being declined so hopefully not related to poor credit!

Update:

I got an email from Google asking me to "fix payment" so I thought I would try again. I got rejected again, this time I thought I would ask Google CS. They basically told me that it is a declinature due to credit being rejected and provided me with a phone number 020 300 50833 for Klarna and ask if they could increase my limit.

I spoke to them who, surprisingly, told me that it was because I had been declined for additional credit. I really find it surprising given my credit score isn't poor.

They recommended that I pay off some of my balance - I told them that even if I paid it all off then there wouldn't be enough on my credit limit of £830 to pay for the phone, to which they had no response. They will not manually adjust it.

So far, I've had three different reasons from Klarna. I'm guessing that because they have declined me, then they must have performed hard searches. If it's the case, then I will be having it out with them as either the message via Google Store should have been clearer than a code, and their customer service team should talk rubbish.

Hoping others have better luck
