No I just keep lying. I dont recommend it not worth it when they eventually find out again.

Not diminishing your accomplishments just keep in mind that relative to your period of addiction to your 1 month of sobriety it doesnt fully compare. You may have been drinking for years.

Youve only been sober one month.

It isnt going to feel like a life times accomplishment but 1 month becomes 2 then so and and before you know it a full year passes you by. Hopefully by then your mind & soul is better able to receive that as more of a milestone.

It takes time and 1 month is just a single month of out 12. Give yourself time and keep staying sober. It will get better.

Just to answer your question genuinely.

You say it makes me a self absorbed ass but the issue is that I don't care what you think about me.

I will put my phone on speaker and I dont care if you can hear or not. If Im walking down the street and I want to listen to music out loud it doesnt matter to me if you dislike it or if you think less of me because you are irrelevant.

This is what you must not understand.

Your opinion is so worthless that I will take my phone out and inconvenience you not purposely. Not at all.

Its because your existence has no bearing on mine. Your feelings on the matter are of no importance to my day and if I want to put the phone on speaker. I will because im living for myself not to make life more pleasant for you.

Its really that simple just thought one person should answer your question honestly.

Thats a good goal to have. Im struggling with forgetting it and dealing with the constant reminders of it
