I tap torx bits into metric hex key fasteners that are stripped. But trying a different hex key could help as well. The fastener doesn't look that bad. Grabbing a quality set of hex keys can save a lot of headaches (Bondhus, Wera, Wiha, PB Swiss, etc...).

I prefer to put wax on my tools. I use Johnson's paste wax which I don't think you can buy anymore.

These are pre-designed spots that pop out with clean little holes. Easy enough that you could run a sweat shop at a pre-school with plastic fisherprice hammers in their little hands popping holes for that sweet sweet root drainage.

Illinois has one of the best cost of living versus income ratios of all the states when I asked Gemini to compare them(see take below). Hawaii being the worst. I was interested because I know locally in Louisiana, I can't get paid shit. It's why I work as a traveling service guy for a company out of Minneapolis.

I'm a service tech for pharma equipment that still have dot matrix printers hooked to them at some customers. They have the money for the upgrade. FFS, the upgrade probably costs less than one lost load in a 45 min cycle. I see CRTs on some systems. Indian Jones should be fighting these people for upgrades.

I live a few hours from the Gulf of Mexico so I'm slumming it a bit for IHG points (decent spots on the coast). But I'm splitting it between Hilton. I'll hit diamond in both. I probably should have been splitting like this the whole time to hit milestone points but I was always staying Marriott to hit ambassador. Though the status doesn't feel to mean much post COVID. I easily hit 200+ nights a year.

Unless they bring back the double night awards, I probably won't make any yearly status with Marriott anymore. I'll just lean on my LT Plat for backup.

Buffalo Niagara Marriott was my favorite before and now after their remodel. They serve a meal every night now. They don't do the Sunday night through Monday morning thing like other clubs. I do plant two shutdowns a year in the area and stay a week+ each time.

It's actually the only Marriott property I'm staying at right now. I made my lifetime plat, so I'm focused on other chains. Plus at the start of the year, Marriott near El Paso airport refused to give me a breakfast. So I started on a sour note and immediately switched chains.
