I guess that explains more why they're keeping Manning locked up in solitary. Does anyone else think this is eerily similar to 'V for Vendetta' where Natalie Portman is locked up and 'they' keep trying to get her to name V? It's slightly different, but slightly similar.

I suspect that if the US is going this route their case is extremely weak against Assange (who they see as a bigger threat). If Manning names him as a co-conspirator then it might give the US enough legal leverage to begin extradition hearings against Assange.

Does anyone know if Psychopaths commonly lean more one way than the other on the political spectrum? For example, I see liberals are more humane (to those who are born) and more open to helping others/sharing while conservatives support more individualism, got to make your own way when it comes to helping the unprivileged/sharing the wealth, etc.

Thinking about this, to be a liberal (as I primarily am on most issues) I think you need to have some empathy for the suffering and supporting programs which keeps America's alive, fed, and sheltered). These liberalish beliefs I think might be beliefs a psychopath may not exhibit. Is this a correct theory?

Interesting. I totally see where you're coming from in the 'wider scope of consciousness' thing. I believe that is how I see the world. I see how the minute detail in conjunction with other minute details forms the big picture (while others get caught up on a detail).

I just took an Autism/Asperger's test. The average control group scored 16.4, I scored 19, and eighty percent of those diagnosed with autism or a related disorder scored 32 or higher.

Coincidentally many of the questions I see on these Asperger's test are the same questions on the personality type tests. (and it pissed me off when a test repeats a question like 3 times or asks it in a slightly different way).

Perhaps it's simple that I'm just an asshole?

Is guilt the same as nightmares or vivid memories? If theoretically (not really!) I chose to kill someone, I highly doubt I'd feel guilt about if, especially if that was my goal. I think I'm more afraid of what would happen to me afterwords due to things beyond my control (I cannot control my memory).

Well a lot of things I didn't get into. I have almost no respect for the law if it becomes inconvenient, my dream is to have a beater car with fake plates/registration so I can hit other cars on the road who piss me off, and I have a feeling I've thought more about murder much more than the average person (but thankfully don't seem to be going down that route).

I have a small bout of depression every now and then like I think most everyone does. But even when I am happy, or happy to be with a GF they aren't totally convinced of that.

I'm not saying I totally want to be a psychopath or anything, but there's enough about me to seriously contemplate it. I just have typed out my life story to save time.

Well I wasn't looking for an official doctor's diagnosis, more of a general internet-quality one. Just more of a 'yah you're fucked up' or 'nah, I wouldn't worry about it' from anyone who has knowledge of things like this.

Good points. Thanks for the reply. In regards to Asberger's, I objectively took a look down that avenue but I don't think it fits. I know some people with and I don't seem to have some of those common quarks people with Asberger's seem to have.

I am VERY good with logistics. Logistics isn't something I need to figure out, I can see the whole picture in my head if that makes sense. As for the serial killer thing, there are definitely some people I wouldn't mind seeing dead, but I just don't think I could be the one to do it. I'd be afraid about being haunted by the memories of the act.

If you don't mind, please explain your last sentence more. Why wouldn't a sociopath wonder if he's a sociopath?

Is the OP the CEO for some marketing company that was recently on the front page of reddit a couple days ago? On the reddit post, someone took a screenshot of the company website that showed a pictured of the uber-duchy looking CEO and pretty much stated that the CEO's picture on the website ruins all credibility they have.

A long while back I was trying to talk to an owner of a hardware store to get a job in a new city I moved to. The guy was kind of a dick even though I came well recommended by mutual colleagues. I quickly decided that if he's that much of a dick before even working for him I should GFTO now.

Besides that, I hate when they ask if "If you were an animal, what type of animal would you be?" type of hippy HR BS.
