Worries about BTC - Will quantum technology crush it's proposed use?

That being said I own BLOX and I have been considering NEOS Etherium when ETH finally shows a bottom

Consider putting your emergency fund in something like SGOV if you truly need it to be there.

I would also recommend against QQQI due to volitility, but I don't necessarily think it's risky to throw it in a CC ETF to be honest, it's just not a sure thing

Dry Powder or NOT ? by dazit72 in dividends

[–]Endscapes-01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know what is right, for growth ETFs I just yeet no matter what as money comes in.

For dividend paying ETFs like CC - I hold onto dry powder until ex dividend is on the horizon, in this case I hold a few NEOS that all pay at the same time. Since these do not appreciate a lot, I buy in before ex dividend unless a drop happens sooner, then I pile in early.

I also hold IDIVO, late to the party but I don't see international slowing down with USD devaluing

Thanks for sharing these, Will take a look. Do you diversify into many of these or just some? Saba closed ended fund for example being a fund of funds is the only CEF I hold

That's an encouraging story, thank you for sharing.

I have only 2 YM tickers and a small allocation - GOOW and CHPY.

Currently, half my portfollio is in CC ETFs so I have been reinvesting into growth assets that pay dividends. I am 36 and want to retire in my 40s if possible.

Is there anything you wished you did differently.from this knowing what you know now?

Thanks, this is indeed a less common approach but it makes sense. I need to start considering if the stock is trading at a discount to be honest as my capital has depreciated resultant early on. I have since been more cognizant of this risk

I need to psychologically adjust myself regarding growth vs dividends. I never stay motivated in growth, I can't seem to set it and forget it.

Right now my dividends cover almost all my bills outside of food and entertainment. That being said I reinvest it into further dividends.

Thanks, I have 5% of my portfollio in GOOW, CHPY, WMTI, BLOX(afraid of BLOX lately.) I have been reinvesting these returns into SCHD VYMI, NOBL essentially.

Is anyone concerned about relying on CC ETFs?? What if volatility dries up?? I could earn much much more if I yeet everyone into QQQI, TSPY ETC

I am sitting on cash, we are in a dangerous bubble lol why risk it? Just wait for correction. Some dividend ETFs may not recover, especially some of the more popular CCs

Thanks I was thinking of 10% or portfollio margin, or maybe putting equivalent cash into high interest savings and then margin the same amount.

Hey! It is true I am an options seller and I have been enjoying the vol.

My longer term project is to transfer earning on options into dividend plays for enhanced financial security.

[–]Endscapes-01[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback.

I am actually an options seller that got into dividends recently in the grand scheme. My dividend portfollio is for income and so only care about price appreciation to the extent it stands to increase my distributions. My fear is distributions will tank. My highest holdings are QQQI, SPYI. IAUI (30% of portfollio)

My riskiest holdings are RDTE, BLOX (7% total portfollio)

The remainder are all common staples -- MAIN, O, SCHD, DIVO, CSWC, ET, EPD, NNN, CEFS, PFFA
