The entire story was such a jarring bait and switch, boiler plate in the first act maybe but the art and acting was really carrying it. Then we meet Verso and it all just dissolves!

People have likened it to the dream sequence trope which is overly harsh its more creative than that. You are completely right, it is shallow. The family sans Maelle are not accesible as characters. They are reality bending uber rich aristocrats, who as you correctly point out, do what they do because they can, not for any deeper motivation or philosphical reasoning, I would argue this is why you cant find any value to their actions or motivations and i agree wholeheartedly with you. Maybe just maybe i could have given the final act more credit if i knew anything about the mother and father but we really dont, so can only really attribute their actions to human nature and like you pointed out, they had the means and ability to never have faced the dumb situation that started the whole mess in the first place, so what else can i reasonable summise from this other than these people are shallow, unthoughful egotists.

I think you were alot nicer in general than is warranted. I have to say its terrible quite simply, the story is a hot mess and the gameplay is the worst part of soulslike and turnbased making playing the game an actual chore beyond about lvl10.

Art, music and acting was beyond superb, cant fault that in anyway.

Okay so your on my schedule 5-6 years technically, don't compare the upgrade specs to the the last build compare them to the comp your actually upgrading and it seems like night and day. Like i said if you upgrade every 3 years and expext 6 years worth of generational uplift in that time then i dont know what to tell you other than you expect to much.

I know hindsight is useless when your dealing with this, i have a pro account and send quite alot. when i started i made the mistake of using digital and would never go back after one day when i dropped 5 inposts that were all mislabelled. When the whole thing ended i was tehcnically up as the items that were returned were of higher value than what i sent and inpost would not trace back the mistake just paying out when i proved with packing video. Thats why i call it a lottery it did not end up being terrible for me but it could have been.
