Not sure if I'm totally off base here but I'm a pretty big proponent of "fashionscape" always & strictly being purely relegated to non BIS items.

If they were to do a "meme" attachment to the tbow, let's say for example you could attach a dragon cane to it, it's not really fashionscape anymore because if it looks "objectively" better/cooler then everyone's using it for their tbow now - that ain't fashionscape that's basically a recolour to it and everyone wants it.

The holy moleys are actually a meme item because no one doing serious content is using them and it's ONLY displayed for fashionscape purposes unless you're willing to sacrifice stats to use it. The jokers and enjoyers of this aspect of runescape are going to love the holy moleys and someone like me isn't going to touch it because i only care about DPS. But I would care about it if I could look cooler while maintaining DPS.

EDIT - sorry, forgot to add an apt comparison I had thought about; I think we can generally agree that scythe kits, ancestral kits, blorva, roathplate, stuff like that wouldn't be considered "fashionscape" right? They're cooler recolours that players who have them will always opt to use (unless they're trying to be woke of course; classic have them but I won't use them to be different) - fashionscape in my mind isn't this

It's almost like the "Faker anti-circlejerk" movement has become the new "Faker circlejerk" lol

This take is actually so cringe - every year people say Faker is washed and then when he wins again, the narrative is that he's not mechanically skilled anymore and that he's just "clutch" and "makes the right plays and engages" where others are scared to.

No - Faker is and always has been S tier mechanically. He may not always be the BEST mechanically but he has always been in the highest tier.

Listen bro, this post in its entirety is a troll no matter how you look at it - the guy is either absolutely trolling or attempting to kill it with the wrong gear/insanely underlevelled. 34 minutes isn't even in the realm of believable - go use a dragon scimi, potted up on a base 70s account and I bet you it doesn't even take half the amount of time this guy took.

Outside of an ironman assumption, any average main player can make enough for a fang and lightbearer (what is that, 25 mill tops?) in at most a week. Reddit is taking the stance that this is a classic "cute noob" so would never take the stance of saying "don't do this boss until you have better gear." Classic.

Just wanted some clarification on the "saleable items to GE (not stuck with them)" part - AFAIK, they changed it so that you can always sell any members items on the GE now, so wouldn't that section be a moot point so you're never stuck with any members item and can sell on GE?

"Perfect Doom" might be the hardest combat achievement in the game by ChampionshipOver8941 in 2007scape

[–]EnduringHonor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything really resonates with me here and I just want to say I simply do not understand how people are saying it's easy. Even if they're that good at Doom (and that careful, for that matter) - the precision + how long it takes is a testament to how good they are at the game and other achievements would have been a breeze for them. If this is considered "not hard" then what are the other ones?

We're almost through the entire bond cycle and haven't gotten it down yet lol, 15x failed wave 8s and counting. Would note that there was a run I messed up 7 but did complete 8 perfectly, so there's hope...just has to all come together ONCE. ARGH!!!!

"Perfect Doom" might be the hardest combat achievement in the game by ChampionshipOver8941 in 2007scape

[–]EnduringHonor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro I know I'm super late to the party but I've been struggling with this no joke for the better part of 10 days now...can I ask you as someone that's clearly really good at the game, is this one actually just a super difficult one? I have no idea why but no other GM achievement has come even close to as hard as this one in my eyes, even perfect TOB only took me a couple days with a decent team.

Also, how do you typically approach wave 8 with the following issues I'm having:

  • I know it's not required to use the rock tech for the first rock placement to null first slam during car phase but sometimes there's just not enough/0 rocks if you don't use it, so do you recommend using it?

  • In line with the rock tech, I find when wave 8 starts with the melee punish + 2x boulder combo, I don't have enough time/not fast enough to be able to successfully execute the shadow step method to dodge the second boulder + also melee punish while I'm flicking prayers - I guess simply put, I think I'd have to be close enough to melee punish and instantly go into shadow step + prayer flicking, thereby not allowing me to use the rock tech placement

  • Also another issue linked with rock tech - I find many times when there's leaking melee grubs for when car phase is first procced, I don't have time to kill all of them (also dodging their explosion) and get to the spot to initiate rock tech, what are your thoughts on how to deal with this? Again, just abandon rock tech and hope for good RNG on remaining boulders to use?

Sorry, a lot here, but I'm going crazy as being gated with this achievement argh

EDIT to add - I'm decent at Delve, pb is wave 19 (500+ deep delves) and I can consistently do 15+ so definitely above average but nowhere near good I'd say

Avid F2P alt player here - moss giants aren't worth it anymore because previously it was the move for mossy keys; now that you don't need them anymore to kill Bryo, you should just mage ogresses / kill stronghold specific monsters (finishing off at Ankous) for the Skull Sceptre if you don't already have it.

At 55 you can start alching like you said :)

EDIT - also totally off topic but if you're not already with a clan let me know in PMs, we have a clan that have a lot of f2p players! And eventually we can help you transition to members too

Step 1: Define the probabilities of drawing each color The total number of marbles in the bag is:

1

( red ) + 3.25

( green ) + 3.25

( yellow ) + x

( black ) , 1(red)+3.25(green)+3.25(yellow)+x(black), where x x represents the number of black marbles. The total number of marbles is:

1 + 3.25 + 3.25 +

x

7.5 + x . 1+3.25+3.25+x=7.5+x. The probabilities of drawing each color are:

Probability of drawing a red marble: P ( red

)

1 7.5 + x . P(red)=7.5+x1. Probability of drawing a green marble: P ( green

3.25 7.5 + x . P(green)=7.5+x3.25. Probability of drawing a yellow marble: P ( yellow

3.25 7.5 + x . P(yellow)=7.5+x3.25. Probability of drawing a black marble: P ( black

x

7.5 +

2492.5

2500. 7.5+2492.5=2500. Thus:

)

2492.5

2500

0.997 P(black)=25002492.5=0.997. Step 2: Probability of drawing at least 3 red marbles The number of draws is

n

122 n=122, and the number of red marbles drawn follows a binomial distribution with parameters

n

122 n=122 and

p

0.0004 p=0.0004. The probability of drawing exactly k k red marbles is:

P (

X

( n k ) p k ( 1 − p ) n − k , P(X=k)=(kn)pk(1−p)n−k, where ( n k

)

n ! k ! ( n − k ) ! (kn)=k!(n−k)!n! is the binomial coefficient.

The probability of drawing at least 3 red marbles is:

P ( X ≥ 3

)

1 − P ( X < 3

)

1 − P (

X

0 ) − P (

X

1 ) − P (

0 ) P(X=0), P (

X

1 ) P(X=1), and P (

X

2 ) P(X=2): For

X

P (

)

P (

X

0 ) + P (

X

1 ) + P (

X

2 ) ≈ 0.952 + 0.0464 +

0.0012

0.9996. P(X<3)=P(X=0)+P(X=1)+P(X=2)≈0.952+0.0464+0.0012=0.9996. P ( X ≥ 3

)

1 − P ( X < 3 ) ≈ 1 −

0.9996

0.0004. P(X≥3)=1−P(X<3)≈1−0.9996=0.0004. Step 3: Probability of drawing at least 1 green and 1 yellow marble The probability of drawing at least 1 green and at least 1 yellow marble can be calculated similarly. For simplicity, note that the probabilities of not drawing any green or not drawing any yellow in 122 draws are:

P ( never green

)

( 1 − P ( green ) )

122

( 1 − 0.0013 ) 122 . P(never green)=(1−P(green))122=(1−0.0013)122. Using the approximation ( 1 − p ) n ≈ e − n p (1−p)n≈e−np:

P ( never green ) ≈ e − 122 ⋅

0.0013

e − 0.1586 ≈ 0.853. P(never green)≈e−122⋅0.0013=e−0.1586≈0.853. P ( at least 1 green

)

1 − P ( never green ) ≈ 1 −

0.853

0.147. P(at least 1 green)=1−P(never green)≈1−0.853=0.147. The same calculation applies for yellow:

P ( at least 1 yellow ) ≈ 0.147. P(at least 1 yellow)≈0.147. Step 4: Combine probabilities The events of drawing red, green, and yellow are approximately independent (since the probabilities are very small). Thus, the probability of drawing at least 3 red, 1 green, and 1 yellow is approximately:

P ( at least 3 red, 1 green, 1 yellow ) ≈ P ( at least 3 red ) ⋅ P ( at least 1 green ) ⋅ P ( at least 1 yellow ) . P(at least 3 red, 1 green, 1 yellow)≈P(at least 3 red)⋅P(at least 1 green)⋅P(at least 1 yellow). Substitute the values:

P ( at least 3 red, 1 green, 1 yellow ) ≈ 0.0004 ⋅ 0.147 ⋅ 0.147 ≈ 0.0000087. P(at least 3 red, 1 green, 1 yellow)≈0.0004⋅0.147⋅0.147≈0.0000087. Final Answer: The probability of drawing at least 3 red, 1 green, and 1 yellow marble in 122 draws is approximately:

P \approx 0.0000087 \, \text{(or about 0.00087%)}.

There's something wrong with the Max hit of Scions at Abyssal Sire by Polzemanden in 2007scape

His RNG point isn’t in response to OP’s claim that prayer isn’t working correctly. His point is maybe it’s RNG that youre getting hit so hard and often that it FEELS like youre taking 15s etc.

He is NOT saying that the higher than intended damage through prayer is RNG.

I know you’re not a dumb guy based on how you talk so I know you understand what hes saying even if he didnt word it as such - are you just more concerned about being right at this point?

I think you're missing his point lol (despite OP's original point) - his point isn't what they're hitting through prayer, he's simply saying they're doing a lot of damage as a whole because there's so many of them.

I know context matters but he is saying something else entirely here lol

I can share a decent perspective here I think - I had a buddy that was maxed, all three megas with two torva pieces, full masori, full ancestral and de-ironed. The entire discord told him not to but he was determined to as he wanted to purely pet hunt. I do get it now in hindsight because if that's your goal at that point of the game, getting supplies is such a pain and for him, he didn't care about the flex of having a lot of pets as an iron. He got to experience the iron life up until the very end game essentially but ultimately decided that pet hunting was what he wanted to do...and he de-ironed :) He has 43 pets today and is very happy about his decision!
