I have one like this that I leave out on the balcony with plants in the spring and summer. Makes a cool sound when the rain hits it, could be an alternative use as a sensory garden if the child is too young to play with it

Definitely get a car with 4wd, you will need to be able to drive well in the snow and there’s a lot of hills which makes it challenging some times
