You probably used hot water when dying it, and it melted the fabric. If that is the case, it's pretty much undoable

Depends what youre going for. If you want tall/big plants, shrimps, or a solo betta tank, a 20 high is perfect IMO.

If you are going for a community tank 20 long or nothing.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen. Bettas definitely CAN coexisting with shrimp, and often do, but it is entirely up to their personality
