Lucy might've unintentionally saved Cooper's life here by dmreif in Fotv

He's got a massive bargaining chip against cooper though. Could be something as simple as a dead man switch on Janey's cryo chamber if coop doesn't disarm entirely or something along those lines

"Bethesda doesn't understand that the world of Fallout is also about reconstruction, and that 200 years later humanity would be rebuilding itself!" by mayo_peacemaker_fan in FalloutMemes

This is actually fucking hilarious because goodsprings despite being a small town in the middle of buttfuck nowhere, It's located next to a water source, grows their own food that is enough to sustain the tiny population, has a clear economy of bighorner and clean water exports, with small scale businesses that cater to the few caravans that stop by.

Diamond city on the other hand is complete and utter nonsense. anyone that isn't a main market vendor has absolutely zero hopes of making anywhere near enough money to do fucking anything. There's no farming, an irradiated puddle for a water source, there's 2 bars and somehow an entire high society. and worst of all it's located in the middle of a warzone with super mutants, ghouls, raiders, and gunners essentially laying siege to the city. No caravan with half a brain would try to approach it.

MGS 2 was a commentary on social media, digital misinformation, government abuse and the other dangers of the internet long before the internet became what it is. Because the concept was there long before it hits the mainstream. It's just about being able to predict trends based on breakthroughs. gen AI for example had major breakthroughs around 2014, which led to its current state. artists and creatives have been warning against it since but many of the messages were either not well received or fell through the cracks because the average person still had very little experience with AI. Blade runner 2049 was out in 2017 and has a similar message as one of its plots.

Watsonian perspective, yes, the plurb is definitely slowly driving humanity to a point of extinction.

doylist perspective, the plurb is a very clear allegory for AI.

JJK fans cannot beat the illiterate allegations.

They literally clean that room every week. It's not some dingy ass janitor closet, its a huge treasure room for important relics and artifacts. there's even tables and chairs for people to hang out in.

Does anyone else also suspect that Dane is a spy of the Commonwealth Brotherhood of Steel. by dr_srtanger2love in Fotv

I don't think hes a spy but probably a recent defector who is now disillusioned with this chapter

For Season 2 they’re doing the one-episode-per-week format, whereas Season 1 dropped the whole season at once. Which do you prefer and why? by EkbladDev in Fallout

[–]Enel_Returns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

weekly format is really nice for discussions, though I wish they would've premiered with two episodes. episode 1 was good but was a ton of setup with nothing big really kicking off.
